We took our kitty in for a check up today and found out that he had FIP. We have only had him a couple of weeks but had already bonded more than I thought possible. The last thing I expected to hear was that we needed to put him to sleep, his liver was failing. I think that the unexpected goodbyes are the hardest. I will miss him.

Bless your heart. I know how you feel because of my own experience. My beloved Max of eleven years suddenly got sick. I was not expecting to hear from the vet the terrible news that his kidneys were failing. He was so bad, that was Friday and by Monday there was not much choice except to say goodbye. I will always miss him.
Take comfort in your precious memories and cry when you feel like it. It helps.
Prayers.

I think we can all imagine how quickly you bonded in only two weeks because i think the bonding happens with the first contact you have with a kitty

Bless his little heart to leave you in such a short space of time

RIP Sweetie, and play with your new kitty friends over the bridge

The unexpected losses are hard, because you have no warning to prepare yourself for their absence. At least this kitten knew that someone on the planet cared. Thank you for making the wise decision- for that terrible affliction, there is nothing in it but suffering for the cat.

You loved the little one and took care of him. The most loving thing you did was not let him/her suffer. Bless you for your kindness and love. You will meet again on the Rainbow Bridge.

I'm sorry you only had two weeks with your precious kitten. Condolences on your loss.

Two weeks with a precious kitten is long enough to fall deeply in love. I'm sorry you didn't get to see him grow up in your loving care. FIP is unpredictable and untreatable. I'm sorry it took your baby!

You gave him 2 weeks filled with love and now you are taking a hard decision but the best one for him. This only shows how much you love him and will do whatever is right for him even when it hurts.
I'm so sorry he has FIP.
but I'm glad he found such caring owners. You are wonderful.

The Lord was short on Angels and needed a sweetheart, he is in good hands I promise
my heart goes out to you, I know it is extremely painful as I have lost 2 dogs in the same day to parvo. they were so young and I only had them a short time, but still I loved them and miss them dearly, and always know will see them one day again.

I'm sorry for your loss. The unexpected good-byes are so very hard, we have no time to prepare ourselves. Know that your kitty felt your love and devotion in the short time you shared.

The Lord let you take care of His precious kitty for 2 weeks. He knew that you would give His kitty the love that he deserved in the short time he would be here. Thank you for taking care of this sweet kitty and thank you for not making him suffer. I'm sorry you miss him. I know it hurts. RIP sweet little kitty.

I am so sorry about your loss. I agree, Unexpected goodbyes are so hard. I lost my dear Vinnie less than a day after he started to act sick.

Just know in your heart that your dear baby crossed the bridge know he was loved.
