Hello all,
I am new to this forum and I hope to learn as much as possible about being owned by a cat.
I recently had a lady come into my salon in hopes of finding her 15 month old cat a new loving home. She was moving to Canada from the US and had to find a home for Shamie. One look at him and I fell in love with him. I had 2 cats while growing up (many many years ago). I called my husband to come take a look and meet him (my fingers were soooo crossed that he would fall in love too). Once he saw Shamie and started petting him he realized that he was indeed a "cat person". He never had a cat before but had bad experiences with other peoples cats. I would have to say the worst was when he was spending the night at a friends house when he was younger he had a cat run across his head while he was sleeping and it left its outter claws in his head!
OUCH!
So far so good, no claws left in anyones head here.

Shamie is a great addition to our family. He is in love with our 13 yr old daughter, he follows her around the house and has to know where she is at all times when she's home. It's too cute! He loves to play with those tiny tennis balls with our toy poodle Skeeter. They have become best buddies.

I'm sure I will learn alot here so I better get to reading.
Thank you for having a great forum and thank you to all you knowledgeable cat memebers too.

P.S. I was told Shamie is a Flame Point Siamese....I will try to post a picture on here to see what all of think? If he is a Flame Point Siamese I would love to hear from others that have one.
Awww it won't let me insert a image.

Meet Shamie.....I hope this works. And thank you dawnofsierra for all your help on posting pictures.

Some of the pictures were taken with the flash off so he will look more orange than he does in real life.
