I just adopted a beautiful ragdoll who is going through a major transition. This is our first kitty and he came to us straight from the breeder. We have had him a little over a week and other than the normal stresses of hiding, and a short spout of diarreah, he is eating and drinking. He has successfully used his litterbox during his first week but decided to begin his pee and poo on our futon instead. We purchased a new, larger and uncovered litter box and thouroughly cleaned our futon. I am hoping that the problem will be solved but I noticed a lot of bright yellow coloring on his white paws yesterday. I assume this is from his urine and that he may have stepped in it while peeing outside of the box. I am pretty sure he does not have a urine infection but I have read that going outside of the box can be an indicator. I have not read anything on urine on paws. Is he trying to tell me something? Please post if you have any information!
