my 3 littermate kittens are now coming on for 5 months. i have 2 toms and a queen.

as far as using the litter tray goes, they have always been very good. they wont even use the garden. and in the morning when i come down stairs they are practically queing up to use the littertray.

they like to sleep on my bedm and i thin in a sense they see my bed as a special place to sleep as it smeels of me and it seems to be a comfort to them.

this morning i was in bed and rani my queen jumped up to greet me, she then walked to the bottom of my bed and started to scrape with her paws i thought she was playing. but she then urnited, and ran off.

i could to belive it.

she then came back in to the room and is now runing round playing as normal with my other 2 kittens.

nothing liek this has happened before. the only thing i can think of is that my parents stayed on the week end and slept in my bewd, i slept down stairs on the couch. and im thinking mnaybe rani was upset by the new scent on my bed??

any ideas?

Any cats that pee out of the box, should be tested for urinary tract infection. sometimes cats in heat have been known to pee or spray here and there. so the best thing is to get her to a vets and have her tested to make sure its not a medical problem.

I agree....please take your queen to the vet to be tested for a urinary tract infection or blockage. Inappropriate urination is the number one sign of these medical problems. Note that a regular vet check will not detect urinary tract problems. The vet must do a urinalysis to determine whether there is an infection or blockage that caused this behavior.

Good luck!

when my sis came to visit, my dad's cat marked the wall outside the bathroom. After she left, so did the cat's problem. I hope that is true in your case! By the way, most cats prefer to have their own box, and I find that indeed, they like 2 best, one for pee and the other to poop in. Definitely keep your eye out for any more signs of urinary tract infection; hopefully, Rani was just telling the folks, "Who's been sleeping in MY bed!?!"

Is she spayed? If not, then she is probably coming into her first estrus - many girls will inappropriate urinate to let the boys know she is ready to mate. Have the vet check her for a UTI then schedule her appointment to be spayed if she isn't already.

One of my kittens was only 4 months old when she went into heat, much too early! But her first sign was that she urinated on stuff twice. She didn't have an infection, just a hankerin!
