I got a real kick out of this thread. It shows that we don't always read what is actually written sometimes and we're all guilty of that occasionally I'm sure.

My problem is with breathing and bad back - when you half lay in the chair so the 15+ lb. cat can sit on my chest and suckle on my neck while I try to type.

I have tried the highly touted "TOY" therapy, but it only gives me temporary relief.

The problem here is the Kitty Keyboard. This is when you try to type, but find a furry little body impeding your progress.

Cute post, MA...I got it, but it was fun to read on and see how many of us missed it!

I think the only way Catal Tunnel Syndrome ala Matuese is terminal, is if you keep ignoring the poor cat!
Can't you take a hint??

IA. If you need me, just meow..
Maybe some cat treats on the floor would stop the symdrome from coming back for a few minutes..... or a toy or two..... maybe some cat nip. oh so many suggestions.

Hmmm...sounds pretty serious

My problem isn't typing, it's walking. For some reason, when I walk, I stumble frequently...almost as if something was weaving in and out of my legs...
I notice this particularly when I'm walking toward the cabinet that holds the cat food. Curious.

I'd have it checked, if it is indeed CTS, it will feel worlds better after it's fixed.
Yes indeed it can be horrible pain, I had it about 12 years ago I sat in the bathroom floor every night crying from it, I couldn't beleive how numb they could be all the way up to my sholders and still hurt so bad, I got mine from working with the horses we had 22 lots of heavy things, grooming, raking, picking up lots of heavy things, I finally had the surgary they were very bad the Dr said, and Thank God it was the best thing I ever did.

Under the cats, mostly.
Yah, sorry to tell you this babe, but it sounds terminal. All life is a sexually transmitted disease that is ultimately fatal. Feline or otherwise! Best thing you can do is just rest it up a little bit (if it plays dead, maybe the kitten will get bored and go away) thus eliminating the pain. Perhaps you could try reinforced gloves!
Sounds well cute!

I don't have any problem with hands or feet (My boyfriend has that) - I tend to suffer more with insomnia brought on by tinnitus. I can't get this constant wailing sound out of my ears... I sometimes also suffer severe cramping as well, usually from having to sleep in funny places AROUND the cat!

Funny you guys should mention this - last night I was having a pain in my left arm and my right leg. They felt really heavy and I had trouble moving the arm and leg. Think maybe it had something to do with cats sleeping on said appendages?
