I have this horrible pain in my wrist

When I type of the computer, I have this reoccurring pain in my right wrist. It is a series of sharp pains, rather rapidly occurring. I think it is Catal Tunnel Syndrome ala Matuese- he lays on my lap facing the keyboard and nibbles on my wrist when I type. Do you think it is terminal? Should I seek treatment?

Having recurring CTS I can tell you how excruciating it can be if left untreated.

I'd have it checked, if it is indeed CTS, it will feel worlds better after it's fixed.

My advice: quit rubbing your right wrist in catnip! (Or maybe start rubbing your LEFT wrist with catnip.
I think the only way Catal Tunnel Syndrome ala Matuese is terminal, is if you keep ignoring the poor cat! Can't you take a hint??

Yes for sure something to be checked..it will get worse overtime it not treated.

It is worse if the offending body is of average, to slightly larger size.

Another treatment method may be to just let the cat do the typing.

Now that would make for interesting posts! LOL

As soon as i saw the spelling "catal" i knew there was a kitten involved because my hairdresser had THE carpel tunnel syndrome.

I'm glad you said that. I was getting worried, it seemed like I was the only one making light of your "condition".

I have a more advanced stage of that disease. Now, when I attempt to use the mouse, it's like a reflex, my hand jumps away from the desk. And a cat head covers the mouse. Its a game, until I want to get work done, then "someone" has to GET DOWN.

It took me a minute to figure out that your were kidding MA. Good one.

hope you fill better soon you may want to get a brace for yuor hand while your typing on the computer and to waer as much as possible you can go to the doctor and they can give you a shot of [cortazoine] i think thats how you spell it.

I had two surgeys for carpal tunnel one in 1993 and one in 1998 the second one seem to work for me only sometimes it bothers me and thats when im on the computer alot so i put my brace on you can get one at cvs or any drug store at night was the worst for me i wiuld get sharp pains and then would go numb the shot seem to help for about 6 weeks. i had the surgey cause of my type of work i was a sous chef and kept dropping everything i hope you fill better soon and try the brace if you can and also a mouse pad that supports your wrist can help
