Frontline Plus

I read on the site you can use Frontline on kittens beginning at age 8 wks. Well I have a dose of Frontline Plus, since the kitten is so small I should only use a litle of it correct?

Also do you think we should bathe the kitten in dawn dish soap first then put the flea treatment on?

No... You shouldn't use frontline plus on kittens! No you can't bathe the kitten for at least 24hours piror to useing any topical! I suggest you uh=se Advantage or Frontline top spot!

I believe it would depend on the size of the cat. Check with your vet.

But I do know that you are not supposed to bathe the animal atleast two days before or two days after applying Frontline.

Thats why I bought it and I got a discount for it.

I don't see why you couldn't use that. But if the kitten is smaller than normal for 8 weeks just check with your vet.

Please do not use anything until you have consulted your vet. We are not vets here and we cannot recommend dosages of medications for your cat.

Our experienced people and experts (mods and technical advisors assigned to the forums) can share non-threatening information and suggestions but even they will tell you to see your vet about medications and dosages.

I would please urge you to call your vet and get his opinion. It depends on so many things, and your vet should be the one to advise you. I know with my vet, when I take kittens in to see him, if they are of the proper age, he flea-treats them with Kitten Strength flea stuff and doesn't charge me. I would never flea-treat a kitten without his okay first-

K we're just going to use flea shampoo for now and hopefully that will take care of the fleas

Please heed Hissy's advice and don't put anything on your kitten. Take her to a vet.

After we give her the flea bathe and they are still there I will call my vet first before I put anything on her
