She started seizing this morning and we couldn't get it under control. We rushed her to the vet and he said the best thing to do for her was to put her down. She was the sweetest kitty on the planet. The thing that makes me the most angry is that none of the vets could really find out what was wrong with her, they were all just educated guesses. Makes me want to redirect my education and go for a vet degree. Someone has to care for the kitties that fall through the cracks. Goodbye my sweet kitty- may your journey be swift and peaceful and may you find open arms for you on the other side.

Oh my gosh Hissy! How horrible! She was such a beautiful cat!!! I am so sorry. !
Please know that she will be in my prayers tonight.

Maybe you should move to Colorado where they have the Alameda East Vet Hospital. There are Dr.Robert Taylor, Holly Knorr, and Dr. David Fitzgerald who all are genuinely concerned about the welfare of all the animals. I would love to move there. Its very hard to find a good vet these days. They want more money. That is all!

Hissy:

Let me be the first to say how sorry I am. I know how attached you were to Bacardi and how special she was to you.

My sympathies are with you at this difficult time.

MaryAnne, I am so sorry to hear about Bacardi.
Nothing I can say will make you feel better, but just know you can always talk to me if you need to

Hissy, I am so sorry for you and little Bacardi. You did so much for the little angel and she knows you did your very best. I wish there was something I could say or do that would make you feel better.

I am very sorry about your loss of Bacardi. I know you were trying your hardest to help her and I know that she really meant a lot to you. Bacardi and all your other cats have been very fortunate to have had such a devoted and caring person involved in their lives. Again, I am very sorry for your loss.

MaryAnne, there's nothing I or anyone else can say to ease the pain you must be feeling, all I can do is tell you how sorry I am for your loss, and send you my love and prayers.

I can't seem to focus today and I have school tonight. Mike and I talked it over and we are out of the kitty biz as of now. Our hearts are not strong enough to take this kind of crushing sorrow. Even the cats are unusually silent tonight, a hush has fallen over this household and a shadow has fallen over our hearts. Thank you for your kindness and for your prayers and good thoughts.

Words cannot express how sorry about Bacardi I am
. Just remember him as the beautiful kitty who's playing with his friends and brothers and sisters, up in Rainbow Bridge, and the playful kitty you grew to know and love. Mary Anne, I know it's hard but You have plenty of good friends and Me, as a shoulder to cry on or to vent anytime you wish. I know times are tough right now, but just believe Bacardi is in a better place with no suffering at all. I'll put in a prayer for Bacardi too.

and anyone else who has lost one of their dear ones, this just rolled off my pen. I hope it helps.

My little friend you've left me,
and with you went my heart.
A piece of my soul is missing,
the piece that was your part.

My sorrow seems unending.
I feel the touch of your paw.
The tickle of your whiskers,
the rumble of your purr.

I listen for your footfall.
I see your shadow still.
Peeking from the corner.
Curled up on the sill.

My heart is crying teardrops.
My eyes are crying too.
My dearest little kitty,
O God,how I miss you.

I'll miss you puss forever.
But I'll try to carry on.
Remembering love you taught me.
Until my time has come.

Then someday I'll come join you,
'neath God's most loving hand.
We'll cross the Bridge together,
And live in Heaven's land.
