I adopted a hurricane katrina disaster kitty from the humane society last sunday. On monday, he started sneezing so I took him to the vet who diagnosed an upper respiratory infection and prescribed antibiotics. I've been giving him the meds, but today his nose started bleeding. Is this normal? All he does is eat, sleep, and sneeze. Will this get any better and how long do these things last?

You need to talk with your vet about the nosebleeds. The cat probably needs to be seen by the dr. again.

I called the vet and he said nosebleeds were normal, but I'm still worried. It seems like this URI is taking forever and the kitten is acting so abnormally. I've never dealt with sick kitties and the whole blood thing is weirding me out. Thanks for the advice though.

IT's time you see another Vet - this one dosen't seem to take your concerns nor the kitten problems seriously.
Kittens are fragile Please do not waste time to seek out another VET

Nosebleeds (normal or not) or not uncommon. The kitten needs to be on antibiotics, as well as supportive therapies as needed to keep him eating and drinking. If he isnt eating that's bad.
