Well... AN ACCIDENT

But I must say the best accident we have had!!
I have always been a cat lover but my mom was the one who always took the cats to get fixed, ect.
I knew it was time for Lilo to get fixed and I had an appt. for her. But 2 days before her appt. she ecscaped the house and was gone for 2 whole days!!!

When she returned.... she had the biggest grin!!
I called the vet and he almost guranteed me that she had gotten pregnant. He said I could go ahead with the spay but it would (of course) kill the babies (if any).
So I decided to wait and see.And she was. She delivered 7 beautiful babies at the end of may this year.
1 died at 2 days old.

The other 6 grew to be beautiful, healthy, playful babies.
I have given 5 of the 6 away to friends. (Wonderful homes)
Petlas, the runt, is staying with us.

Are you going to spay her now?

Oh... thank you.

He is a miracle to me. We saved him. And after we got him and found out he was deathly sick... he came very close to dying.

He recovered and is the sweetest, fuzziest, love bug ever!!
And he just LOVES posing for the camera!!
I am always posting pics of him on here.
I am actually getting ready to put his latest funny pics on here soon.

I foster, so don't have planned litters.

In the past, we got 3 female barn cats, and let them each have a few litters. We rehomed all the kittens, and then spayed the Mommas. My favorite, a gray tabby was allowed to have one last litter because she was such a good Momma. We lost her and the kittens.

Definitely no planned litters here, ever again! I volunteered at a TNR clinic today, and helped spay and neuter about 80 cats!

I am also a breeder of Persians so all of my litters are planned as the stud does not live with me, he is at a friend of mines house. So depending on Shashawma....my female.....we get her pregnant when she is ready and had a break from the last babies. She just had a litter in April and she is pregnant again, for an October Delivery. We didn't want to breed her again so soon but she had already had 2 heats and you are generally only supposed to wait 3 heats or you are putting her at risk for a deadly uterine infection. We are so excited as we only have about a month to go and the wee ones will be here.
But to answer your question, yes, all of my litters are planned as I do not have an intact male in the house.
