Sutra has had two kittens so far - but there are still more in there. She had the 2nd one at 6.50 and it is now 8.30, the kittens are moving inside her still. She looks very relaxed and is tending to her two kittens, i rang the vet and she asked if she looked too tired to push out the rest but i dont think she is. how long should i wait or what other signs should i look for?

Well number 3 just came - 8.50am 2 hours after the other! Mum needed a bit of help with this one - but once she was shown it she remembered what she needed to do! All 3 feeding, this last one is a bit darker than the other 2 :-)

Aw....awesome! Glad to hear everything is going well with her delivery...please post pics when you get a chance! Did she end up having 5 or was it just the four? (not sure with the time difference, how long ago you posted)

Well we are pretty sure she has finished now - we thought there may have been five but no, four beautiful darlings![/IMG]
They all practically look the same! The 1st one has a bit more white on her face though. i think there are 2 boys and 2 girls!

Awww....thanks for posting a picture! They are beautiful! Well done Sutra! 4 is a good number!

When my Shenzi had her litter (of 8,LOL), there were a few that looked so much alike, it was very hard to keep track of their weights. I read later that you can use a permanent marker or food coloring to make a mark on their footpad so that you know which is which. It makes it easier to be sure they are all gaining weight as needed. Now, at 6 weeks, they don't look as much alike...

They are so adorable! Thanks for sharing!

Yeah - we used to do that when we bred West Highland White terriers - you can imagine all the puppies were white and looked exactly the same! We colour coded them with marker on the back of their heads!
All the babies are well and feeding. Mum has only got up once to walk around and eat and go to the litter tray. She is eating heaps - but looks so skinny!!

No it wasnt another foot lol!
he he! I was wondering about that when i posted the photo, but i thought that you guys would have seen all that before and wouldnt mind! Mum is doing so well, only getting out of her bow a couple of times a day. Grandma Kharma is also being very well behaved - I was a bit worried cos she can get a bit cranky sometimes, but its cute cos when the kittens meow she sometimes runs in to see if everything is okay!
Ill try get some more photos - oh and by the way - i checked them again and its actually 3 boys and 1 girl (girl being the cutest of course!)

Hi there!

I have some more photos for you.
This first one is the little girl...

And this is one of the boys...

Sutra has been able to get up a bit more today and leave them whilst they are sleeping to stretch and walk around - I think she was getting a bit lonely by herself - she wanted more attention away from the bedroom!
