Hi, just thought I'd say hello on behalf of "Missy", who's our lovely new kitten in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.

I need help figuring out what make (breed!) she is, as there's a few suggestions in the family already....

She's about 3 or 4 months old now. We got her a few days ago, but unfortunately the atmosphere was ruined when the previous owner (very suspiciously) asked for her back because her grandma missed her. A bit of an awkward moment - she's not a TV for heaven's sake!

She had fairly matted fur so I spent most of Friday unmatting her! We did not give her back in the end - her whole family were present when selling her, and we're now very attached to her, it would break our hearts to give her back.

She's a very nice cream colour, and I think she has very faint tabby markings, but I can't be sure. Any ideas anyone?! Her fur is about an inch long, and she does seem to have a bit of an "M" on the forehead like a tabby should! But it's so faint it's hard to tell. She blends in with our carpet well!

Don't know what kind of kitty she is, but judging by the second photo, she is quite content!

Welcome to The Cat Site!
I don't know what breed of kitty you have there, but she is very cute! I would tell them to go fly a kite!

Thanks people! That was her first full day here - she didn't mind me de-matting her at all, and was happily asleep on my lap for most of the afternoon too, whilst I worked from home! Needless to say she got a fair bit of attention compared to my work.

Another question for you all, will a kitten be ok left alone during a normal working day? We've bought some toys and a nice scratching post for her, no cat-flap yet (well, I guess she's too young to venture out anyway), do you think she'll get bored?

Oh - and do cats grow out of the scratch-bedroom-door-at-7-in-the-morning routine?!

She is so cute, and obviously loves her new home. Although lighter, she resembles my cat, Sunni, who was a long-haired domestic tabby. I'm no expert, though..hadn't even heard of half the breeds I've seen on this site till I got here!

Welcome to TCS, by the way! You're going to love it here.

I'm glad you didn't give her back. Sounds like she's in much better hands now!
