Hi – I am going to be neutering my babies in a few weeks. People have told me that a kittenâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s personality can change after they are neutered. Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]ve searched online about this and havenâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t come up with much. I was wondering if anyone here has experienced this. It of course will not sway me to not neuter, I think itâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s very important, I just want to know what I should/could expect. Thanks!!

There is no personality change after neuter, if it is done before they are sexually mature. After they become sexually mature the changes you see are for the better ie. less smelly urine, less aggression, and if you did it in time no spraying (once spraying becomes a habit it is very hard to stop).

I have seen changes in kittens after neutering, but they have been for the better. I had one kitten in particular, Leo, that calmed down and became the biggest lovebug ever. He grew to a whopping 22 lbs of sweet, cuddly kitty. He was kind of snippy and spastic before. He was done at about 4 months.

I got mine done a few weeks before he turned one years old, you wont find any differences untill one to two weeks later..
Teufel loved to hump my arm and use my teddy as its girlfriend but now he doesnt do that anymore!!!!!!!!!! i kind of miss it because it was really funny!
Teufel and i also used to pay a game called jump and give me a hug, but it was agressive adn i would get several scratches if i wasnt careful.
Now he doesnt ever want to attack me, he is so quiet and so peaceful! he comes to give kisses and hugs and doesnt go spaztic like he did before.

BUT OFCOURSE they always have those 5 minutes a day craziness

My male become much more loving about 2-3 weeks after being neutered. Female was instantly more affectionate, no change in the babies as they were only 15 weeks old.

Bakker didn't change a bit after nuetering but Bobber had quite the change after spaying but there are other reasons for her changes (they were good changes too though).
