Unfashionable end of the western spiral arm of the
scarf and gloves already? wow. that's pretty cold!

Here, just a couple of days ago, it was really hot, humid and sticky.

Now it's much cooler. Seems like summer is finally over. I need a jacket to go outside but not much more. My windows are still open.

Hopefully it'll stay like this for a while.

It is cooler here in southern Michigan....FINALLY!!!!!!!!!
This has been the hottest, driest summer here in TONS of years, with temps in the high 80`s and into the 90`s ...with almost no rain all summer. Why, heck! I`m ready for about anything BUT hot and dry....even a snow storm would be welcome!!! :-)

Join the club... I was late biking to class the other day and I got the worst headache from breathing the cold air so fast - nearly froze my poor sinuses.

Its cruel - we don't get nice autumn-fall weather here in Sweden, it's either nice warm summer or freezing winter!
I think the snow will be early this year, you can feel the winter in air - it's so dreary.

I have just the opposite here in Maryland. We are above average in tempature. It is projected to be 88 degrees, hot and muggy. I am so done with summer especially since our air conditioner isn't working right. I want the fall to kick in. Hopefully by next week the temps will drop a smidge.

Beautiful day here in New York...Long Island. Low humidity (finally) and highs near 85 degrees. 5-day forecast is about the same as today...sun all week
Still wearing sandals & tank-tops here.

Still nice here, little chilly but its still t-shirts/shorts weather. No jackets needed quite yet, except in the morning when its chilly....but it seems like fall weather, no more humidity really, bring on the fall weather!!

Movin' on up!
Here in Tucson, daytime highs are in the low to mid-90s, with overnights in the mid-60s. After our triple-digit summer, this is downright balmy!

Although it's not quite as warm as Tucson (I was in Tucson in June and almost MELTED), it never really gets cold here in SoCal.
I'm not sure what temp it was yesterday, but I'll hazard a guess it was in the 70's.

There was ice in the trough this morning! Will have to drop the stock heater in early this year! But interestingly, my horses do not have their winter coat yet.

It was 13°C. (55,4° F.) here this afternoon, Fran, so I know what you're talking about. I think we can forget about having an "Altweibersommer" (U.S. equivalent = Indian summer). I wonder if the heating is working in our new school building yet? I noticed a lot of our neighbors had the heat on today, judging by the vapor coming out of their chimneys. We tanked 1400 liters of heating oil a little over a week ago, so we're prepared for the winter (the tanks hold 3000 l.) Jamie will probably demand that we turn on the heat this week. He's so cute - he jumps up on the radiator(s), stands right above the temp. control, and meows till we turn the heat on/up.

LOL Jamie and Ophelia agree about the heater! The other day was the first real "cool down", with the high at about 68 F. She was all curled up in a little kitty ball, snuggled up tight with Trent and gave us a look that plainly said, "Turn on the heat! I'm turning into a kitty-cicle!
"

Right now the weather is just about perfect IMO. Highs in the mid to upper 70s, lows in the 40s. We can leave the windows open all day and night, the AC never kicks on. It's just perfect sleeping weather. Just cool enough that being in bed under the comforter and with a kitty snuggled in too, feels SO good!

i froze this morning walking around the house even though i had my thick pijamas on i seriously love these german blankets they keep you so warm!
I knew the kitz were cold this morning because they were snuggled together pretty tight

I Love MY MOTHER!!! she was here on friday and snuck in a small bathroom heater that i refuzed to take while i was moving.
She didnt tell me she gave it to me, and i realised after she left where i put it, i was so thankful because i wanted to shower and the bathroom was far too cold
So i turned it on for 20 minutes and i loved my shower!!!! best part of it was when i came out it was the same temperature as i was in the shower!
The house is slowly warming up, i have shut all windows and turned on all heaters.

Its 13 degrees now, i dread the next few months!
