I took my cat Maddy in to get nuetered at 5 months. he's now 6 months, and they seem to have grown back. Is that possible??? There are definitely 2 new round ...somethings... where the old ones were.

They were definitley gone when I took him home from the vet the first time. Has anyone ever heard of this? Do you know if i get him done again, if they could grow back yet again? Persistent little guy, huh?!

W/ the best cats
Are you talking about the testicles?
If they were removed I doubt they grow back!
However, this is my Wawa...

As you can see he still has his although he is neutered. I forgot the term of the operation...
Best thing to do is ask the vet!

Yeah, when he was nuetered, the testicles were definitely gone, and now he's got them again. (i'm pretty shocked. I thought maybe it could be like how your appendix can grow back - i know it sounds dumb, but what else could explain it?)

Anyway, I think i will call the vet on monday to see what they say. Thank you!

Apologies for the lack of terms here!! Some cats still feel as though they have bits after an op, and it is normally cos they have been neutered late, or were well developed when neutered. I understand that they only take out the 'insides' and leave the furry bit, so you can sometimes think you feel bits, but don't. Does that help??

Yes, I do agree. The testicles are gone, but the "bag" is still here.
Somebody not knowing how Toms looks like may very well be mistaken.

The older of ours still looks almost untouched, especielly as he looks very masculine.
In the younger the bags are much smaller, so it is easy to see he is a harmonic castrate...

You guys are all so helpful. I've never had a cat before, so of course every little thing scares me.

Thanks for the quick responses!
