I am Tom and new here. I just made a long post about a sick stray cat I am taking care of. We have 4 other cats in the house with a big dog plus the stray so we have a nice zoo started here
. I had intended to get him well and find him a nice home but he is so attatched to me and I am getting to like him to so I don't know if I can let him go
We were camping and he came up to me out of all the campers there and I felt so bad for the poor little guy I fed him and when I was sitting by the fire he climbed up on me where it was nice and warm and he went to sleep in my lap and he stayed with us the whole weekend so now he is with us and doing pretty good but we can't get that last bit of flu out of him and the ear mites have been real tough to get rid of also. He is a great cat, vet thinks about 3 years old.He is very friendly with the other cats and the dog. So we now have 3 gold colored male cats, the wife has a heck of a time telling them apart. So I did a search for cat forums and found this one so I joined up

Hi again, well we have 5 cats right now, Missy who is Siamize [sp?] and about 18 years old now and still doing good, then Panther who is the big guy of the bunch, gold and white and about 15 lbs and about a year old, then Angel [should be devil lol] a grey and white female also about a year old, she is the clown of the bunch gets into every thing and always has to see whats going on and very smart, then Rusty who is supost to be my cat but he don't spend much time with me, he has a attitude problem sometimes, like when you pet him he gets upset because you messed his fur all up
He is also gold and white and about 10 months old. He is one of 4 kittens from my stepsons girlfriends cat who stopped feeding them so we raised them with bottles but one died when he was small and another one almost did but I had learned what to do after the first one died so he was going to be my kitten but he suddenly had internal bleeding and had to be put to sleep, the other 2 kittens from the bunch were fine, we gave away the female and I ended up keeping the other one to replace the little guy that had the problems, vet thinks that was why mom cat stopped taking care of them because 2 of them were not right. Then in August while we were camping the stray one found me and I have been trying to get him well ever since, he is gold with tiger stripes, about 7.5 lbs and vet thinks about 3 years old. I have not named him yet because the plan was to find a home for him but he likes me and I like him so much I don't know if I can let him go. We sure didn't plan on 5 cats but what can I do
. Cat food and litter are expensive for 5 cats!!! At least I found a cat food they all seem to like. Plus we have a 75 lb black lab-shepperd mix female dog named Kelsey and lets the cats attack her and she plays with them. Angel was my kitty until I got the stray home and now she is jealous I think because I spend so much time with the sick stray, so she won't have anything to do with him. Any way thats our zoo. I am going to be 49 years old next month, I am on perminent disability for a number of reasons, I drag race a car when health lets me, I am also into snowmobile riding again when I am up to it, Wife is Yvonne, we have been married for 8 years, her second marrige, my first, she currently works in home health care, she has worked in hospital as med/surge and ICU nurse, and her second job is putting up with me

I have been here a little while now and have to say this place is great!!!
. I drag race a 1972 Buick, and Buicks are not the first choise for most racers so us Buick guys stick together alot also, and we have a Buick site called V8buick with ALOT of members and they are all really helpfull and close like this board seems to be. Some forums I have been on are so dead that it doesn't pay to ask anything on unless I want to wait a month for a answer. Like I said this place is great, we have a little motorhome and we do alot of camping, which is how I ended up with the stray sick cat, he found me while camping one weekend. I still don't know why he picked me out of about 30 campers all lined up in a row. It makes me mad and sad that no one else would help the poor kitty out. I think the only thing he had to eat there was drinking the crap water out of the river we were camped on. Probably why he had worms and parasites and diarea so bad. His eyes were so bad and he looked so bad I supose no one wanted to get near to him. I couldn't even get him to drink fresh water at the campsite and he used the gravel along side the river for a litter box so he was around there a while I think. He is a awsome cat, really friendly and laid back and funny as heck to watch when he gets in one of his goofy moods.
I have to come up with a name for him since I am keeping him but nothing I come up with fits him. The only name that fits is buggers, because he had eye buggers and was sneezing big buggers all over the place when I first started to take care of him
I don't know if that is a mean name for him or not, I think it is a cute name considering all he has been through. I don't know if that is the correct spelling but you get the idea.
