I recently adopted a 5 month old kitten who was found at a landfill (awww). She is the sweetest kitty and loves playing with my dog, and seems to have no health problems.

However, I am curious, if anyone has any experience with predicting things like this: she does not seem to be as domestic longhair/medium hair. She almost looks like a Maine Coon or Turkish Angora, because she has such soft fur that billows to an extremely fluffy tail. She also has tufted ears. But she is calico, which is normally not a trait in either breed, with the minor exception of the Angora - but she is very bony (not skinny, just bony) , and has the structure of a Coon. She is 5 months old and about 5 pounds. Can anyone give me idease on a breed mix? Or how big she will get? Are there any calculators (ie measuring bone structure) for this kind of thing?

Here are links o a few pictures (sorry they are a bit big - but please take the time to look, I am researching nutrition requirements of different breeds).

She is just an adorable Calico mix. No discernable breed. They have an attitude, so just love her up and enjoy her! She could also pass for a tortie-mix as well- she is a cutie!

Oh my, she is the CUTEST thing! I have a kitten that is a "mutt" that is 5 months old, and about 5.5 pounds, so I would have to say that she is average, and not a large-breed cat. But I love her! What is her name?

She is very pretty...if she hasn't been to the vet yet...now would be a good time to get her UTD on shots and to set up her spay appt.

Who cares what breed she might be? She's a cute cat! (Now, if you're worried about bratty behaviors that might be common to MCs or Angoras, that's another matter.)

Very very pretty tortie/white (calicos are basically a white cat with black/red spots) I'm guessing she's more of a maine coon type (tho a small one) because the boning on the legs looks heavier then the refined boning of a turkish angora or oriental longhair type.

Because of her background there is no way to tell and with good nutrition, she may grow bigger. I'm guessing the mother is probably still a kitten herself. Many times when a 6 month old cat gets pregnant it stunts her growth and the kittens are usually smaller too.

Just spay her, love her, and keep her indoors and you'll be a lot happier. It may take a few months to get her in good shape considering where she came from.
