I know I posted this about my former cat(Jake). Now I think I need to refreshen my memory. See, I looked at Rascal's jaws. The gums of the upper jaws are swollen and the bottom ones have two new jaws coming out. The old ones are still in there. Is he okay? I mean should he still be eating dry kibble or let him eat wet food until his teeth are okay? I've been free-feeding him dry every day. I only give him a teaspoon of canned food a day(he eats it all up). There is no orajel for cats is there?

Thanks!

You mean teeth don't you? Not two new jaws coming in? Sounds like Rascal is teething, because I am sure you have him up-to-date on his shots so he isn't fighting a virus? Sometimes swollen gums are an indication of something nasty. But if he is eating and drinking the same and playing and not messing with his mouth (hitting it with his paws and such) he should be okay. If you are really worried and since you are the only one to see this condition, you should call your vet and ask him/her

Yes, he is teething. He is doing well. Just wondering about the teeth. He looks weird with two upper jaws and four lower jaws.
