In June, we adopted a new female kitten. My male cat was playing with her and grooming her, seeming to get along fine. Then my kitten got diahrrea and was put on medicine - the 1st time she had Metronidazole for a week - the 2nd time it returned she is on Clavamox. Since she has has the 2nd bout of diahrrea and Clavamox my male cat constantly growls/hisses at her. Would the medicine change her scent?

She probably does smell a bit different on the medication. I find it very strange that your vet prescribed clavamox for a diahrrea problem. Clavamox is an anti-biotic and can actually cause diahrrea. Strange.
Forgot to mention that the Metronidazole is a common drug used to combat intestinal parasites that cause diarrhea. Did your kitten develope other symptoms as well? Maybe that was the reason for the clavamox.

She had diahrrea the first time for a week and there was a bit of blood in it so they gave her Metronidazole even though the stool exam was negative. She had a hard time with the Metronidazole - foaming at the mouth and havinga hard time swallowing the pill. About 2 weeks after she finished the meds she had diahrrea again so this time they gave her Clavamox - for three weeks, which seems a bit long to me?
