Superstitious!

I am so superstitious it's not even funny! Tonight when I looked under 'veiw my posts' I see that the first 5 all have 13 posts and the sixth has 31...and it's a full moon tonight!
I got the phobia for the number 13, years ago when my first ewe #13 started the lambing season of with a nightmare that continued with every single ewe. She also was the last ewe to lamb the year before that, that was the worst and scariest labor and delivery I had ever been through. After that I've never eartagged the #13 on anyone again...and I've had '0' problems!
So, if something happens to me....you'll know why (I'm just kidding about that one! LOL!) But I will be on guard for strange things around me tonight!

You're partially safe. According to the calendar, the full moon isn't officially until Sunday, the 18th.

I wouldn't have a clue about all that superstition! Turns out black fridays are normally pretty lucky for me

I'm anti-triskadekaphobia (I just love that word ). 13 is my favorite and lucky number. Friday the 13ths are usually very good to me too.

Me too. Good things usually happen to me on Friday the 13th and I adore black cats.

No offense but whoever started this whole "superstition" thing..I seriously just want to go back in time and give them a good SMACK in the face!! Coming from the person who owns a full on black cat!! Not to mention a black cat with YELLOW GOLDEN eyes!

When we first brought him home because of this so-called "bad luck" he got kicked!! My grandfather is REALLY super-stitious and kicked my cat to keep him from crossing his path!! I SCREAMED at him for it!! I didn't care if he was my grandpa or not I yelled at him!!

Plus my cat has crossed my path more than 100 times and I am still living a happy life!!

So basically..there's no such thing as bad luck.

The superstition with the black cat started at the Salem Witch trials when Martha Carrier's(a descendant of mine) daughter was questioned and tortured for answers about her mother's "witchcraft". 8yr old Sara finally said her mother talked to her through a black cat about being a witch and she was released to go home. All black cats were ordered to be killed, because if a black cat was seen in or near you or your property you were considered a witch.

Friday the 13th started on October 13th, 1307. That's the day King Philippe IV ordered the Knights Templars to be seized, imprisoned, interrogated, tortured, and burned. All were murdered but a few that fled and got away.

Gosh my birthday is October 13 (1975 tho lol) and of course ends up being a friday every few years which freaks out some of the people I know. But because it is my birthday I don't think of bad luck

Yup!

I don't like walking under ladders... Must admit though, for my job interviews I made sure that I gave Guinness a good rub and stroke before I left - I think he's my lucky black cat!
