Hi All,

I am in need of some advice tonight! Pepper is eating Pixie's food, and we've caught her trying to keep her away from her food as well. We've only had Pixie about three weeks or so and I really thought Pepper was adjusting well. But for the last two or three days Pixie hasn't been eating her moist food when I put it down for her. She sniff at it, and then go and sit under the kitchen table and watch Pepper. This evening, Pepper actually went so far as to go towards Pixie's bowl when the food was put down and when Pixie when to go for her own food, Pepper hissed and drove her out of the way.

Is there anyway to keep Pepper from eating Pixie's food. We've been stopping them both from eating the other's food. We just clap our hands loudly and make them leave the kitchen. But since this is continuing to happen, it's obviously not working. Any thoughts or advice would be most appreciated!

Can you feed them in separate rooms and give Pepper a can of moist food (adult brand) at the same time?

I am having the same problem over here with my crew of 6 ranging from two 2 yr. olds, two 6-month olds & two 7-wk. old babies.

Everyone gets their own bowls (yes 6 of them)...adults get premium adult food...kittens get premium kitten food & babies get premium moist mixed with dry & KMR mixed in. Well...everyone does a switch-a-roo on me

So...everyone now gets a little of everything which is a big pain in the butt dividing everything up into 6 but now I'm not too concerned that the kittens aren't getting proper nutrion and the kitten food surely can't hurt the adults. Ahhhh....peace at last

I do put down a bowl of moist food for Pepper as well but half the time after she's finished eating her's she'll try and eat Pixie's. She's such a little globbler...
I just don't want Pixie to be uneasy about eating her own food because Pepper is around. I hoping I wouldn't have to feed them in separate rooms but if I have to for a while I will. I just think Pepper is being a bully and is jealous of the new kitten. She was doing ok for a while but the last couple of days she's been more aggressive towards Pixie again. I hoping this will pass soon.

That's what I may have to end up doing..then it doesn't matter who eats what out of who's bowl. I haven't heard of Flint River Ranch brand before? Where would I find it? I don't think my pet store sells it, but then I haven't looked for it before either.

Thanks for the tip Loveysmummy
