Poor Charlotte. She has had a rough morning. When I got up this morning, I could not find her anywhere in my apartment. I didn't see any holes in the window screens so I knew she HAD to be inside...somewhere. I live on a 2nd floor apartment and decided to go down the steps to my front door. Guess who was in between my apartment door and the door that leads to go outside? CHARLOTTE!! She has either been there since last night at 9:30 pm when I took out the trash OR she mangaged to open the door (sometimes it doesn't stay closed correctly when a certain amount of force pushes on the door) and then shut it!! She was happy to see me!!
BUT... it does not end there. Charlotte was supposed to have a vet appointment this morning. Last year, the vet told me that he only wanted to see Charlotte every 3 years because she is such a "handful". It's true. Charlotte is a nightmare at the vet. Anyway, I got a postcard from the vet last week stating they wanted her to come in for an annual physical exam. When I called the vet's office, I asked them if she had to come in for the exam because I thought we were on the 3 year plan. Well, needless to say.... the appointment was made. Anway, after I arrived at the vet's office, one of the vet assistants came over to me and said... "I read Charlotte's file. She isn't supposed to be here for another 2 years due to her violent behavior while being examined. It's our mistake for having sent the postcard and not reading her file." They offered to exam Charlotte if I felt she needed it. I REALLY didn't want to put Charlotte through the exam and I know she is healthy. I did have them run and stool test since I already had the sample with me. MAYBE this was a better morning for her than expected.
Oh and I did try the vanilla trick this time. I'm not sure how well it worked being that she didn't actually get examined.
