In support of Sex Offenders???

I do feel sorry for their families, but... O My Goodness! I was amazed to see this website. The town is in my county.

I have no words, I was going to email the idiot at the bottom of the page, but I figured since I am at work I better not.
To me, sex offenders have no rights ever, and they never repay their debt to their victims. It is incurable and they should all be shot.
Not talking about the 18 year old that does the 16 yr old.
If they go through with the march I have a feeling they will be sorry.

Check out this quote from that site: "Most sex offenders ARE NOT pedophiles, which means that they aren't likely to reoffend unless we give them reason to". Um, are they assuming that only sexual predators who are pedophiles reoffend? Ha, that's laughable.

Sorry, but I don't agree with bargaining with sexual offenders (the only exception being those guys who sleep with girls who are 14 or 15 but who said they were 18- these days, I can honestly see how those guys can get duped by this new class of VERY adult-looking teenagers). Once you've committed an act such as incest, rape, child molestation, etc. IMO you do not DESERVE to see the light of day, much less have the same rights as everyone else.

Ditto that. This kind of stuff gets my blood boiling like nothing else. I really can't handle it today , work is stressing me out enough. For these kinds of crimes I believe in vigilante justice.
A dear friend of mine was molested horribly by a priest for years and it has ruined his life. Suicide is very close to him at all times. I just can't stand this.

Check out Myth&Fact #2. Incest isn't a "violent" crime, so it's somehow not as bad?!?!?!

I did and I started to get so upset I wanted to get violent myself.
This stuff really makes me want to hurt someone. There is nothing more hideous and they want "rights", they should thank their lucky stars they are
still breathing. And I could care less about their families. Their families are NOT the vicims here. Why is it, in this stupid PC country that the victims get lost in the shuffle and the perverts have all the rights?
I really need a punching bag I swear.

Right! And myth #4 they are so quick to dispute All Sex Offenders have many victims. but where do they say anything about how many times a single victim is abused?
It's all a bunch of baloney. Notice they do not cite any research to back up their claims! That's because it sounds like nothing more than wishful thinking and obliviousness on their parts!

Sex offenders are mostly always repeat offenders. The only "rights" a sexual offender should have is a bullet in the brain.

I like that solution
To heck with the "rights" of the sex offenders! What about the right of parents and children to not have to live next door to a convicted sex offender?
sex offenders should be drawn and quartered

Have you looked at the "True Stories" section ? One paragraph in particular jumped out at me, my comments are in bond font:

"“In the early part of January 1993 I went to bed (this man was employed as a nanny) and soon the older of the sons (14) came into my room and got into bed with me. I had not invited him in any way, he took it upon himself to join me. He made all the moves (yeah right !) and, as these things will somtimes happen, we engaged in intercourse.â€

This is under the heading "Unjustly sentenced." What I don't see in this particular story is taking responsibiity for his actions. Whether or not the 14 year old actually initiated it (which I highly doubt). The fact remains that an older person had sex with a minor - a child in fact.

The way they gloss over these crimes is sickening. They state that stranger rape is rare (which is true) and then state that sexual assault is most common among people who know each other (which is also true). They then try to link to the reasoning that since the assailtant knows the victim that it is somehow less of a crime than "stranger-rape."

Hello - take responsibility for your actions ! I don't care if the laws are keeping rapists from having a "normal" life. They should have darn well thought of that ! I don't care if you are being stigmatized or can't find work.

The impact on the victim's life is far greater - she or he didn't have a choice in the matter. The rapist absolutely did.

Sick. That's all I can really say.
That is just the most ignorant thing I've ever read! Who cares if they have rights or not? If I had my way, they'd be shot on sight. We've got about 20 of those perverts in town, one lives about 4 blocks down the street from me. Hubby said he was outside with our 3 year old daughter and saw the guy staring at her, with his hand moving around in his pocket. Hubby hollered at him and told him to get his sick @$$ away from them and not to come back. Oh darn, was that a violation of the pervet's civil rights?? Like we give a crap, he made the choice to go mess around with kids (this is a 40+ year old man, conviced of inappropriate contact with a minor), he gave up his rights when he took thiers away! That's how it should be, at least.

What what in the HECK is an 18 year old man doing with a 15 year old? That's NOT ok! Yeah, some girls lie about thier age. But to protect himself, it's up to the guy to make sure the girl is as old as she says! When I met my husband, he didn't beleive me when I said I was 20, and asked for my ID. I looked WAY younger than 20, and he was protecting himself. I didn't mind. There's a world of difference in maturity between 15 and 18, and they shouldn't be together anyways, and yeah, I'd say the guy (or girl!) has a problem if they can't find anyone thier own age. Honestly, sex is so highly overrated in the media, I wish kids would understand that, and be willing to wait a while. Why are 15 year olds thinking they should have sex? Ask some that are, they really can't even tell you most of the time. Ok that got a bit off topic!

Anyways, it's just sad to think someone who could commit such a dispicable crime could think anyone else is going to think they deserve any rights. As someone else said, they should be darn glad they are still breathing. If I had my way, they wouldn't be!
Yeah, I don't have a very high opinon of these people. I'm about due to go check the county sherrif's website again and update myself on where all these sickos are living.

I saw that in the paper today!!! I was thinking,"You gotta be be kidding me!"
Let's go join what I'm sure will be many protesters who are in favor of victims rights.
No, wait..we'll be the ones in jail at the end of the day(care of Palm Bay's finest)and not the child molesters!
so how many more people have to be raped/killed by REPEAT sex offenders before they realize they shouldnt march??? hmm...i mean...certain things can go away..im sure someone might know someone who did something and maybe is better now..but i mean...sex offender/murderer/whatever..to me..once a- always a-. Has anyone ever seen the NAMBLA website? This website is almost verbatim what NAMBLA's site says! These aren't families of sex offenders, they are sex offenders. The fact that they list an age of consent link is the most obvious indicator. These types of people are truely amazing and I have no doubts that they are organized with NAMBLA and similar organizations. They do everything they can to strike down laws against molestation because they believe it is their right to have "relationships" with children. It's pretty amazing.

OMG>>>OMG>>>OMG

What????

And they have pins that say "Every child deserves a future"...ummmm what... what about the chilldren these sick molested....what kinda future do they get.

I grew up in Vero Beach, and honestly, EVERYONE I ever met from Palm Bay was just a little weird--must be something in the water!

And on the subject of sex offenders, maybe it makes me a hard-hearted, unfeeling, unsympathetic person, but, uh, I just can't find a way to be sympathetic with them. I've had too many friends who were either raped or molested by family members. Its a sickness that I'll never understand, and while I don't think they should all be rounded up and shot or anything like that, I don't want them anywhere near me OR my family. Someday, when I have kids, if anyone within a one mile radius of us is a sex offender I'm gonna watch them like a hawk, and would probably go beserk if they so much as looked at my kids, or me. Better safe than sorry.

I cannot believe that the American Legion would allow them to meet there and I am REALLY upset that the ACLU (which I support in many endeavors) is helping them as well.
I like the sign that the woman in the top picture is holding up: "You lost your rights when you hurt a child." As far as I'm concerned, as soon as they commit a sexual assault against ANYONE (child or adult) their rights should be GONE!

Its against TCS rules to provide a link to another forum, so I'll just tell y'all what I read. Apparently one of the sexual offenders was pointed out. He attempted to tell his side of the story. A protester got in his face with a bullhorn and just kept saying "We don't care! We don't care!..."
Also "The Guardian" a local group that prints the names and addresses of local offenders was there.
The offenders had a much smaller turnout than expected and they didn't march.
Palm Bay 1, sexual offenders 0
I saw a little bit about their pathetic little meeting on the news this morning. (OllyExtra is right, people in Palm Bay ARE creepy, I refuse to live there. I hate Palm Bay)
What blows me away is these women who stick by these guys! Why do they do it?? For love? How can you love someone who destroys anothers' life? And all for selfish, preverted sexual gratification? Could you imagine being with someone like that, always wondering what they are thinking about? I'm sorry, but that just completely disgusts me. I would starve out on the street before I stayed with & supported a man who was turned on by children. All of them make me sick.
Yes I'm sorry a member of thier family was put in jail as a sex offender, but come on. Do they not realize that sex offenders are the most likely of any criminal to repeat thier offence!!! You know they did what they did to other people BEFORE they got turned in. I know I wouldn't want to live next to or near a sex offender. It's a safty concern to me and anyone else living near them. What if this person's crime involved children??? Would you want them to live anywhere near where kids are, like schools and playgrounds???!!! NO!! Why put the comunity at risk? Granted there are some who may be wrongly accused, but why risk it.

yea i saw a southpark episode where they did some sort of parody with the nambla initials (but it was like a marlon brando look alike thing with cartmen, lol) but the actual thing itself is quite gross! but the whole 'man boy love' is a funny phrase..man boy love. dont get me wrong though i think it is gross..if i ever have a son im def. blocking THAT site from my comp!

it was like the National Association of Marlon Brando Look Alikes
