I'm looking for name ideas for two extra special kittens. These little boys, one orange, the other gray/black are the siblings of the kittens I posted about in Crossing the Bridge. We now have them in foster care. They are absolutely the cutest, most loving little guys. I had both of them crawling all over me last night and was seriously tempted to smuggle them home in my purse. Yes, they're that tiny! Any suggestions? Thanks!
(Will post pics soon!)

I always like naming pairs in pair-style names (if that makes any sense):

Apple and Orange
Plus and Minus
Monkey and Robot
Electron and Proton
George and Gracie
Buster and Charlie
Laurel and Hardy

Actually, Max nearly ended up being called Tuna, so Alfie would have been somthing similar like Salmon

I have a friend whos cat is called Dust because he lays all over the furniture.

Another friend has goldfish called Thingy and Bob

A lady that I used to work with always had great names for her cats - some of the best were:

Mack and Tosh (hehe)
Benson and Hedges (although can't say I entirely approve of that but she was a dedicated smoker!)
Oakley and Fendi

If you pick a theme you nearly always come up with great names.

My grandma's cats were called Donner and Blitzen because they used to thunder up and down her corridor....lol!

That's funny... I call Rowan dustbunny about half the time, because I've found a few that could be his siblings, and rival him for size (from the previous occupant).

I named Bella when I had her in the visiting room at the shelter. She's so gorgeous, and they weren't sure which kitten she was (she was in the cage with her littermates, and the paperwork was... inadequate). Not that I speak Italian, but it's one of maybe 10 words that I know.

I'm a big fan of old Celtic-style names, though. Rhys, Raelin, Bran, Cennedigh (Kennedy after Ellis Island
), Conall, Fionn, Kai, Aiden, Kegan, Shay, Brogan...

Then again, I'm Irish, and I have the red curly hair to prove it.

Edit: paired names are cute, but I just couldn't think of any. I was considering 'Donna', had Rowan been female. Bella... Donna... Deadly nightshade...

If your leaning towards themes here are a couple obvious famous ones.

Louis and Clark
Rocky and Bullwinkle
Siscle (sp?) and Ebert

i had a friend who had a cat named Zum... when i asked her why, she said she used to have a cat named Spaz, & that way when she called them it made the word... Spasm [Spaz-Zum]. she also had {at one time} a cat named... Orgaz
i've always thought those were very inventive names! but i myself tend to go the thematic route. my furbabies have computer-related names, & my ferals have names from the arts - music, literature, etc.

I always use personality to name my furbabies. Like Rotten, was so spoiled she stank, and Max, well he was wide open all the time!! We used to have a cat named splat because it looked like someone took a paint brush a went "SPLAT" with it. hee hee.
