Yeah, that was funny till they pulled them out and jacked the Cadillac.

My boys are very open with me, as I am with them. I will have them watch this movie with me. You can't tell me that there is anything in there that they don't already know about when it comes to the rating reasons. I've watched many R-rated movies that they wanted to see but weren't allowed simply because of the rating (by their father, we are divorced). Many times I finished the movie and thought, "Well, they could have watched that. Hmph." They are smart kids, very level-headed and open-minded. I wouldn't raise them any other way.

I just watched it tonight and it was wonderful for my abs...they were clenched the entire time.
It was a hard movie for me to watch. Anything unfair or unjust really ticks me off and there were times I was screaming into a pillow...especially when the cop pulled that couple over.

I'm glad I made it through till the end. I wish everyone would watch it.

I hear you! Bf had seen it before and I was sitting there saying "oh NO! Is ( this) going to happen? I don't want to look! " through each nail biting part! I have never been SOOOO relieved as that few minutes (the longest 2 Minutes in the movie) passed on the locksmith's lawn..and I immediately realized what had happened (I thought back to The store owner's Daughter being in the gun shop alone)..wasn't that sweet?

I watched this movie last night and I thought it was absolutely amazing. Definitely one of those rare movies that can really get you thinking. I don't even really have adequate words to describe the up & down rollercoaster of emotions that came from watching that movie.

After y'all talked about it so much, I rented it this past weekend. My boyfriend & I watched it Friday night.

I kinda knew what was gonna happen (with the red box of bullets) but I didn't tell my boyfriend. For all his manliness, he cried... and I didn't, cuz I knew the lil girl lived.

Anyways the movie was dead-on and reminded me of the masterpiece "American Beauty". Very honest and upfront and real. Racist or not, it was a great movie & some superb acting!

I laughed when Sandra Bullock fell down the steps. I cannot stand women like that.

I missed the part where they realized the little girl was okay because I was screaming and bawling and having a nervous breakdown!
I happened to glance up when they were going back into the house and I was like "huh?" and I skipped back. Whew!!!

OMG! I watched Crash a couple nights ago! It was so great. I loved how one thing tied to another. My parents usually cannot sit an entire movie without pausing and taking a smoke break. No one moved the entire time it was one. We were glued to the tv.

I jumped and let out a little yelp. Immediatley afterwards I was shouting 'they were blanks'. I am so glad that lady didnt know anything about guns, or bullets.

I got the impression the daughter knew what she was buying. Not when she was in the gun shop, but at the end when she went to the drawer where the gun & bullets were kept.

She knew. It's why she specifically asked for the red box and did not reply when the shop owner asked her if she knew what they were.

Ok that's what I thought. Yay I feel smart!!

I also really liked the part where the two car thieves were driving around and talking about music and race. I just found it funny to see Ludacris ripping apart rap music.

My husband and I watched this movie over the weekend. I struggle to watch racially-tense movies because I cannot grasp how people can think so hatefully and with such a closed mind. I cried pretty much from the part on the locksmith's lawn until the very end. It was amazing to see things come together. I felt so bad for that detective after what his mother said to him! Way to place major guilt!

Excellent movie. We weren't going to rent it because the box said very little about what the movie was about. I (and my husband, who was teary-eyed during the part at the locksmith's house, as well) am very glad we chose to rent it. Very thought provoking.

To those parents considering watching it with their children-
Go for it! Education is essential in raising an open minded child that refuses to judge on the basis of color or dress.

I thought she asked for the red box just to shut the rude guy up, and didn't want him patronizing her anymore, so she just took them. I mean, they were buying it for protection.

And I thought she checked to make sure the gun was still there after the store was destroyed because she was just talking to her mother about how people think they're Arab and she knew if they took the gun and used it to kill someone, her father would be labeled a terrorist.

The father was buying it for protection, but you could tell that she disapproved of the whole thing. Even though there were blanks in the gun, someone could steal it, put real bullets in it, and the gun could still be traced back to the owner. She was definitely smart to look for it.

Yeah, that's true. She did also tell the guy that he could either give her the gun or her money back, and she hopes it's the money!

I LOVE THIS MOVIE!
I think it should be played in Times Square and anywhere else that it can be publicly broadcast.
I was so upset watching parts of it like most of you.

The only problem is, we were having a storm the night we did "pay per view" and the storm knocked out our service and we missed the last 15-20 minutes of the show!!!!!!!!!!
So I need to go rent it or buy it now to see the ending.
It's a great, great movie!!
