My kitty has finally understood that when I go to bed it's time to sleep.
However, she won't let me sleep until the next morning. she will wake me up at arnd 4 o clock and play with my hair. Tonight she even starting knawing in my cheek!
I never play with her or give her food in these moments. Instead i'll lock her out of the room. She doesn't get it though.

What can i do????

She will get it eventually. Meanwhile you just have to get her as tired as possible before bedtime - play with her for 30 minutes, give her a snack and she will sleep a bit longer. It takes time and can be frustrating but it can be done!

This night it was 2 o'clock

Before I went to bed i played with her at least 30 minutes.... could have even been an hour... time flies when your having fun

Hope she will get it soon. it really makes me very tired. Funny that on the weekend she let me sleep as long as I wanted to... she woke me up a few times, but she got it when i didn't want to play with her so she went off to play with something else... and now, she just wants to lpay with ME!
grrrr.....

Welcome to my world! We take it in turns to lock poor Wiggies in the bathroom at night - honestly, it's the only way to get sleep some nights. still makes feel bad though.

How old is Wiggies? Singa is approx. three months old.... I really hope it gets better when she grows up a bit.

She will outgrow it, Oliver was the same way when he was a kitten and it was VERY tiring! Maybe you could give her some sort of quiet toy to bat around at night so she doesn't feel the need to bat you around! LOL!
Good luck and hang in there!

Eventually she will get it! It takes some time, though. Cats are nocturnal so this is her natural playtime. You need to retrain her to sleep at night and play during the day - a good way of doing this would be to have an interactive play with her before bed each night - about 20 minutes. This will wear her out and also get her into the habit of playing while you are awake and sleeping while you are asleep!

hehe... good idea, but i've tried it already. she jsut doesn't have that much fun with a toy that doesn't throw her off the bed

Bella and Rowan play with each other for about two hours before we all go to sleep, and they'll be calm (enough for me to sleep, and I'm a very light sleeper) for at least seven hours.

Their play time has been moving later and later, though, which worries me a bit.
