I noticed this morning that one of my babies (Napoleon) has a leaky eye...otherwise, he seems fine -- my initial reaction was that he may have a URI but there is virtually no sneezing or wheezing. Thoughts? Thanks!
Maherwoman...it almost looks like he's crying! But only sometimes...not all the time. But I have been keeping an eye out on him to see if it gets worse. Thanks though!Originally Posted by maherwoman
My first thought...what kind of fluid is it? Is his eye red? I'm not sure about the problems a cat can have with their eyes, persay, but I would suggest writing down exactly what's going on, and call the vet.
My only thought in return is to either call the vet or take him in. He might have an eye infection of some sort. Never know...Originally Posted by blue_monday_88

I second that. It may very well just be allergies, mine have been going beserk lately. Or he couldve just gotten a "fuzzy" stuck in his eye. Keep an eye on it for a few days and if it gets worse or doesn't get better, then go to the vet. You could call, but chances are theyre just going to say to bring him in, so you might just want to wait it out over the weekend and re-assess on Monday morning.Originally Posted by KitEKats4Eva!

I wouldn't take him into the vet just yet but keep watch to see if his discharge becomes more regular or starts to look a bit cloudy or infected. If so then I would take him in. It might pay to make a call to your vet just to see what they think, though
