Whoa, she's kicking up a bit of a fuss, isn't she?

All the best, I hope you don't have to deal with much of this and that the drive will be uneventful.

That's so ominous, Rhonda! You're more motivated than I am this morning. I didn't even think about walking in the rain over to the beach! Our skies look about the same, though, and wow, you guys should just hear the ocean!
Please be safe, it's no fun driving in a hurricane!

How awful that you're having to make this trip today, Rhonda. Please be safe!

Yes, it seems will be getting the eye of the storm. That will probably mean high winds and lots of rain. They have restricted access to our bridges as well. Sure hope your trip goes ok. I'm so sorry about your loss.

Be careful guys, I'm praying for you Steph.
I went through the eye of Katrina when she hit South Florida. She was just a category 1 at the time, the winds in the eye wall were scary. (she had a gust wind of 92) Nobody down here took her seriously, we lost power for 5 days. Poor Gordo, he was hot.

Because I have always lived on the west coast...in the past, I did not paid that much attention to hurricanes.
Now that I have friends on TCS who live in hurricane territory and after Katrina, I am freaked out about this one.

Stay safe...please

Thank you, Lei! I'm really just taking this as it comes, but after just watching the news I see why you wonderful friends have been so concerned for us!
I just went outside, and it really is wild out there! I took a couple of photos as best I could, but the rain kept messing up my lens, so I have a few pics of rain on my lens!
The wind is really crazy and there are a few electrical wires down just across the street. To stand back and look at it all is really fascinating, except now I'm all wet!

Just want to assure you guys, we really are ok, and I wouldn't have stayed if I felt my girls were in any danger. I've pulled out all the candles because the electricity keeps flashing, so Sierra, Serenity, and I are prepared for a romantic evening for the three of us!
I just told a friend of mine, I won't be bothering to go around and reset the clocks this time!

Steph, do you any flashlights? It's not safe to use candles during a storm. Candles and kerosene lamps can cause a fire, and the fire department may not be able to reach you during the storm.
