Hello everyone. I was a kitty virgin until I went to the petstore to price a pond. Silly (short for Silver Kitty) is a first time people owner. And Im a first time cat-lover. She is silver in color with very faint darker silver stripes. She is 5 months old, and I rescued her from a pet supply store, which only had them because a lady found a pregnant stray and didnt want the kittens. She loves mushrooms, but only bats pieces of chicken around. And she'll only play in her kitty condo if there is a toy attached to it
, but she'll chase her tail, and walk in circles meowing while watching the ceiling fan. We are both easily entertained. You've heard of dogs drinking from the toilet. Ever hear of a cat doing so? I have a picture! She stays out of the bathroom while Im taking a shower, but as soon as she hears the toilet flush shes on the seat watching the water and trying to get a drink when its done filling. Im in love with her, my boyfriend not so much, but he doesnt spend all day with her and see her do cute things. She always being obnoxious when he gets home cuz shes so excited to see him.
We also own two ducks. Those two grew SO very fast. Two weeks after we adopted them, they had doubled in size. Silly loves to watch them, and they love to watch her. If I leave the door open the ducks will put there faces right up against the screen door quacking and she will put her front paws up on the screen and tease them... as if to say... neener neener, you cant get me. Ive only just recently made friends with the ducks, even though we had them since they were babies, they were still scared of us... until I hand-fed them worms. Now everyone is best friends. If I take Silly outside, they will follow her, and she will just sit and look at them once she finds a sufficient place to "Hide". They are so big compared to her.
Anyhow, that is a little bit about me and my animals. As for what Ive seen in these forums, Amber the Bobcat has some Beautiful cats, Miss Mew's last pic in the line-up of Reilly is a very gorgeous and artistic picture. And Captivas avatar of the kitty snatching the red x symbol is adorable. Everyone else has beautiful pictures too. The ones I mentioned just captured my attention as a newbie.
