I'm curious to know if anyone who has birds has been able to change their cats behavior to stay away from them? How did you do it? My cats instincts are so strong and she's so determined!

That might help some. At least I'll know where she is. good idea.

I wish I had an answer for you. I personally think it's the movements the birds make. Think of all the cat toys on the market that resemble bird feathers or are bird feathers and how when you move them, they mimic a birds movements. Wings flapping, etc.
My feeling is that it's impossible to change the way a cats brain is wired towards their reaction to birds. I think given the right situation and opportunity just about any cat will seal the birds fate.
I wish you luck though....perhaps someone else has the solution.

Can you believe I just found Pandora curled up sleeping in the base of one of my birds playgyms next to the canary cage! No wonder the canaries all looked like statues!
