Blech. We've had a few cicadas in the trees here this summer but my friends in the suburbs have had tons, they make the most awful racket! I say bravo to Peter for taking one out!

I must be strange. The cicadas are actually kind of soothing to me. Yes, they make a horrible racket, but it signifies the end of summer and tons of good memories to me. Besides, the buggers are totally harmless. It's the grasshoppers that Percy is feasting on...at least I think. All I keep finding are legs on the back porch!

Bobber brought home a chipmunk last week-she left an inch or so of the tail (yummy!)

Actually, most of it ended up being Pete's meal, which I'm pretty sure he shared with Gracie. I got to clean up the leftovers.
