I have lost my dear Rotten. She was killed by a neighbors loose dogs last night. I feel as though I have failed in my responsibilities to her. My heart rips apart knowing that when she needed me most, I was inside asleep! The horror and turmoil she had to go through in the end is killing me. Please keep her in your thoughs and pray she successfully found her way to the Raibow Bridge and is eagerly awaiting the day we'll be together again.

I have had Rotten since she was 2 weeks old, she was found abandoned under my moms house. I bottle fed her and spoiled her as much as possible! She was my baby!

RIP my sweet Rot Rot! I love you and will greatly miss you and your precious cuddles!

Thank you all. This is really tough on me as this is the first cat in many many years I've had killed. And Rotten was my special baby. I just thank the lord that my other cat was safely inside! I couldn't bear to lose them both!! Again, thank you all for your support and prayers!!

Oh Amanda sweetie i'm so sorry
I hope Rotten didn't suffer long, but like Amy said she's probably already over the bridge right now and back to her normal self again

RIP Rotten, and run after those butterflies

I am so sorry what happened to your cat. Don't blame yourself. Things happen and what happened in this case was by accident. You just remember all the precious moments you had together.
Rest in peace sweet kitty.

Oh love.................. I am so sorry for your loss. I know what you are going through, I lost my girl last week. Your baby and mine are together with all the other babies who have gone on before them. But, as I know, there is very little to comfort your broken heart. I am truely sorry.......

Condolences on your loss of Rotten! How tragic to lose your cat in such an awful manner! My own dogs have attacked my own cats before (and these are the sweetest, most innocent-acting Rottie-mixes that you'll ever meet - a dog's personality varies in relationship to whom it's dealing with, I guess) and my cat Ronnie suffered mortal injuries.I too am haunted but believe me, the guilt (that oh-too-familiar soul-wracking, tremendous guilt) is worthless. It is better to do your best to prevent any such reoccurences (I completely rebuilt my current dogpen and nicknamed it "Pelican Bay", the most secure penitentiary in Calif.). I know it's hard, but try to remember the happy memories & the love & devotion that you gave Rotten, and know that she's in a better place, now, happily playing over RB and will be there to greet you when you cross.Besides, you'll need to be there to reassure the kitcat that you still have - these losses can be so traumatic for them, too! Hugs, Susan

RIP little Rotten-girl

I'm sure she's frolicking happily over the bridge and looking down on her loving Meowmy with special thoughts and protection.

I am so so so sorry about your loss of your beloved kitty. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I lost my cat last night. I had to put her to sleep because she was so sick (kidney disease) and she couldn't walk nor eat and it KILLS me to see her like this so I knew she's now in a better place at the Rainbow Bridge. I cannot wait to be reunited with my baby Chelsea.

Again, thank you all for your thoughts and condolences! This site has been so helpful to me while dealing with this tragedy. I really do appreciate it! I am trying my very best to think of all the good times we've had and how wonderful she was! It's getting easier everyday, but it's still nice to be around people that understand my grief! Rest assured I am taking the neccessary steps to ensure that Max does not meet the same fate. He is now an inside only cat and getting lots and lots of loving! He is lapping it up like catnip flavored milk!
