Kitten wont drim water???

I dont know what to do! My 6 week old kitten is eatting wet food but not drinking ANY water. We've had her for 4 days and not a drop. We tried to dip her mouth to it..nothing. We tried a dropper but she hated it. I am at a loss and VERY nervous!!! help please! :flash:

Sometimes cats get enough water from their food (especially the wet variety)! When we adopted Clyde (at 6 months) he was also eating wet food, and never seemed to drink any H20. However, once we swithced him to the dry food he started drinking. I wouldn't worry too much. She may also still be getting used to her new home!! As long as fresh water is available, she will come around.

I would be nervous too. 6 weeks is awful young to be on her own. If she is not drinking then you need to make sure and give her the KMR from a bottle. She may not have been ready to leave mom yet. I would also take her to the vet and make sure she is okay. Even if she does eat the wet food, dehydration is a possibility at that age.
