This I believe belongs in the Behavior category...But my apologys before hand if this thread has to be moved....

I have met 5 cats in my life named Isis... A few were only kits, 2 from large kit families, and one with just one other cat........ Yet.....

All 5 Isis' are antisocial under the bed cats.....Why is this?...5 seems a few too many for a coincidence....So why would it be this way.....All these kits were well taken care of, and had loving owners......

So please someone proove my conspiracy theory wrong. As it is now I will never name a kit Isis.........

Almost makes ya wonder if they don't like the sound of the name, or something to that end. Makes you think...

I probably wouldn't name anymore Isis, either...in fact, I might even avoid the name myself...lol!!

Maybe it's the double S...It does sound like a hiss........

But even more interesting is as we know Isis is an egyptian god, and of course egyptians revered cats like they were tooo gods....Yet why this reaction to a name.

Maybe Isis (the god) didnt like cats...maybe she was jealous......

I am still waiting for an a kit names Isis to prove me wrong

I was considering Isis, before I knew that Rowan is a boy.

I think that I knew a cat named Isis once, and it was a sweetie (I've only met one cat that didn't like me, and its name wasn't Isis). It might be the sounds, but my first cat was named Meow (my kid brother was 2 when we got her), and she wasn't so nice to anyone but me.

Eh.. My grandparents owned a pet supply/grooming store. I got to play with the cats before and after they had their flea dip or trim.

It was a while back, but I remember this cat that I think was named Isis, who was a sweetie, even though she had just been washed. That's a rare cat.

Lol that's cute...my nephew was given the opportunity to name his cat when he was three years old and the name he came up with was `Six'. And Six has been going strong ever since!!
