Going to see about a supposed feral kitten tomorrow morning... sad story

This is HORRIBLE!!! Please do not leave this unpunished. This is a criminal act. The culprits need to be caught and punished. Poor precious little thing. Life of all beings is so precious and nobody is entitled to destroy it. Cruelty is not tolerable. I am so sad.

Thank you so much for all the care that you provided to this little kitten while he was alive!

spoke with animal control-- she met me at the bar and asked the owners if they knew anything-- they denied ever seeing a cat near their bar. I showed her the sharpened stick and where i had been feeding her (including last nites half eaten plate of food). She told me unless i saw who did it theres nothing they can do. Her closing statement was "its just a stray cat, one less for me to worry about"


im not happy. I wrote the mayor ( we are friends) and city council, as well as the local newspaper (they know me too and print alot of my letters to the editor)

I will pursue this as far as i can-- ill keep yall updated.

That's horrible - please try to catch the colour pointed kitty before s/he meets the same fate. I dpon't think you can trust the bar people, if I can call them that. Maybe you can obtain a pet friendly trap and use it? God luck with that and with your campaign for justice for Ms. Kitty,

I am soooo sorry...how awful!! What about the siamese looking kitten?? I would suggest getting any cat out of that area.

havent seenthe siamese looking kitten-- i only saw her that one time-- i am going to go back and check a couple times tomorrow and run by there this weekend some to see if i can find her.

On the other hand i didnt find her body either so maybe shes ok for now.-- if i do see heri will definatly get my parents have a heart trap and some KFC and trap her

OMG, I'm just sick over this! I was hoping to read the good news that you have her, and now I'm in tears. I agree with everything you're doing...make lots of noise and waves about this travesty! I would even contact one of your local news stations, and see if that goes anywhere.

The monster who did this should truly burn in h*ll, and that animal control worker should be fired!

I am heart broken about her senseless death.
Why do people have to be so cruel?
I am sure that they will get their just "rewards".
If no one else knows who did it...God does.
Meanwhile the sweet little girl is in a better place. She is running free, happy and whole and never has to be afraid again. You will see her again someday when the time is right.

I got the same line when my kitty, Big Daddy, was shot about a year ago by some hateful and mean person. The authoriities(the police and animal control)both told me the same thing. Someone has to see them doing it. And they even went so far as to say that it would be best to video tape the act. What? That is just plain crazy.

What a ugly, horrible death for that poor little Ms. Kitty! I take comfort in Nan's words that now she is over the Bridge, pain-free and playing happily! Children and cats suffer so much at the hands of those bigger & stronger who are so supposed to protect them! {{Prayers & vibes}} that the siamese-mix gets rescued by you. Bless you for doing all you could to seek justice for this kitty. I would call the District Attorney's office, just to get their input - seems like the bar owners would be somehow liable for any cruelty on their property since they are supposed to make sure that the premises are vacated before closing. i'd like to beat and then impale on a stick the person who did it to the poor defenseless kitten. except 10 times worse. no, 100. more.

and then i'd like to see the animal control lady thrown out of her house and wandering the streets with nothing to eat, and be told she's "just another homeless person taking up space, and would be better off dead".

all i'm grateful for is that the kitty is past the pain (maybe she's got an angel for an owner now, or romping around in catnip fields in heaven) and that you showed her kindness and care in her last days. much love. <3

What a sad ending to so much good intention. I had hoped that you were able to take this baby home by now, and I was horrified to find instead this terrible news. I'm very sorry for your loss. May the wicked person who tortured this poor baby find that justice is truly a swift and merciless creature. Rest in peace, sweet kitty. No more harm will come to you now.

Oh man I'm so angry now... That goodfornothing from animal control gloating over the poor little baby's death since it meant less work for her!!! What kind of *^$# says things like that?? And those sorry excuses for men... Words cannot express the disgust I feel at the depravity of humankind. Sorry to say, but there are plenty of people out there who fall into either category: 1. Stray dead? Good! Less pollution in my neighbourhood! or 2. Stray alive? Let's kill it and show them who's boss!

Lowlifes. I hope you find the other baby and bring him/her to safety soon. Then start taking those people's lives apart with publicity and your contact with the higher-ups...

Thats great you got the kitten out of the bad situation, I wish I could do the same for one nice kitten by me, but im trying my best to come up with a plan!

ME TOO! Im so enraged at the ignorant SOB's that did this and the sorry excuse of an animal control officer.
If you can http://www.pet-abuse.com/pages/anima...ting_abuse.php has links to agencies to report this. Dont let them get away with this! it WILL happen again. to another cat or dog or someones wife or child. People who do this type of thing to an innocent creature do not care for life in any form.
I am so thankful that i missed whatever defective chromosome that leads people to do this type of intollerable cruelty to an animal. People like that should be taken out of the collective gene pool of humanity.

This kind of thing infuriates me to no end! Animals need to be better protected under the law. It is that witch's job to investigate the crime! All she has to do is pretend to be a bar patron and mention something about kittens outside. At least one of those men will be drunk and spill the beans. I'm so glad that you are going to pursue it further and try to get justice for MS Kitty.

Well i have been going and leaving plates of food for the siamese looking kitty-- havent seen her since i found ms kitty dead. Its been i guess about a month or close to it. At first something was eating the food so i started leaving it on a bench to see if it was in fact a cat eating it. I stayed and watched one nite really late and saw that raccoons were coming up and eating the food. I was reported to the police by the bar owners and have been asked to stay off their property. I spoke with the man that owns the land the flea market is on to see if i could try to trap the other kitten if i saw her and he told me he would prefer if i didnt. He asked me also to stop leaving food and stop coming on his property. I am hoping that the siamese kitten lives somewhere safer and is ok. I spoke with the mayor and the police chief regarding the animal control officer's behavior and words and was told that she has been reprimanded. The local newspaper got a lot of enraged letters and calls regarding my letter to the editor that i wrote. They did a piece on the animal control officer and the feral cat situation in our town. They followed up on their report with a front page blurb about the animal control officer getting a serious reprimand and being sent for training. Turns out she has a history of her horrid behavior.

I will report more as i get the information.

People like this should face the crime they commited! It makes SICK to think someone has a sick enough mind to even do something like this! I hope you get good feedback from your community and the mayor about this. Keep us updated PLEASE!

oh good grief - words can not describe how I am feeling right now. Bless you for doing everything in your power to bring these people into the light. They need to be reprimanded. This sort of thing should not be happening.

I can not express how sorry I am that you are going through this right now - but ms kitty is lucky to have someone that is fighting for her even after she has left this world.

RIP ms kitty - you now no no pain and can play happily and safely - no one will ever hurt you again sweet angel. Enjoy those wings my darling - we will weep for you
