Try typing in Rubbermaid replacement lids on google. I got a few hits there but am not sure what kind you are looking for.

Ask around with your friends, and even at stores that sell the containers. I'm sure some people take the bottoms and leave the tops.

I know I have spares, because I'm afraid to throw them away, and use the containers for toy boxes mostly.

Let me know how it goes cutting a hole in the lid. I was thinking about trying that myself, but wasn't sure how to cut the hole!

I'm going to try it! I was thinking it would leave a rough edge, but if a boxcutter cuts it that easy, I'll just do a little trimming if it isn't smooth!
