I've been reading all the posts here and you folks are the best. Help me please. I've two cats, my first. They were adopted 8 months ago. Bunny is "portly" and has been on a diet since I brought her in. Since she lost some weight, she can get around all the high spots in the house. But she loves to take every opportunity to eat little Princess' food, that I've been serving to her on a high credenza. Bunny now can climb a ladder to get to the food!
It seems to me that there must be a way to provide a private place for poor Princess to eat without looking over her shoulder all the time. She is very nervous!
Who has an idea? I only feed them twice a day, but can't monitor them every second.

Yes theres ways and means of getting it, such as do you like to go out for a drink?, if so stay in for a couple of weeks, or if you like to go clothes shopping on a saturday, just skip a couple of those as well

Well, I might normally do such things, but am unemployed. Thanks for the ideas though.

My first thought was something I used to have to do with my ever-hungry overweight cat when I was younger.

Feed one in the bathroom, behind closed door, and the other in a completely separate area of the house. Or close your now-trimming-down kitty (Bunny, right?) in the bathroom, again behind closed door, while you feed Princess, and let her back out when you see Princess is done with her food.

I know it doesn't seem quite sweet to do that to Bunny, but it's really for her own good, and it's only for about ten or fifteen minutes.

Let me know what you think...

P.S. I completely know what you mean about just plain not having the money to buy something that's $200.
