And they are developing their own personalities. I now know that I am a grandmeowmy to 2 girls and a boy. Sissy moved her kittens earlier this week from behind the entertainment center to our bedroom. She is in a large towel-lined laundry basket. Sissy is such a good mommy. She was playing with her kits yesterday, and it was sooooo cute!!

What I find amazing, is the daddy cat is very protective of his kids too! I was concerned because after they were born, he was checking them out. I thought he might hurt them Now, he likes to sleep right next to the basket. And when I am holding them, he he sniffs them but does not touch.

After they were born and he had checked them out, he was strutting around the house as if he was a proud daddy.

Catkiki...great to hear everything is ok....have you neutered the father cat?? Now would be the time to have him neutered so that he cannot cause your girl to get pregnant again.

When my siamese kittens were born my spayed male was very affectionate to them and he is not the father. Sarah and my male were "together" the day before I took her to the stud. So I have a theory that he thought that he was the father. The night they were born he was going halfway in to the box. Sarah (the mom) did not mind his presence at all. By the time they were one week he was grooming them and sleeping in the box with them.
It was so strange, when I first got Sarah when she was a kitten he hissed at her and would not pay any attetion for days. When we got my other female Rachel he loved her immediately. I think it was because Rachel is a seal point and looks exactly like him. Sarah is a blue point.
