I ran over a cat one night. I bawled all night afterwards.

A possum...thing just ran out in the middle of the road and stared at me...it happened so quick...I couldn't swerve because of a car was coming the other way and there was a guard rail on the other side. Needless to say, I came home crying.

I am unsure, I once hit a cat at night on a country road, stopped and looked everywhere for it, was going to take him home and bury it, or take it to the vet, never found it.

A little froggy a LONG time ago... I swerved and almost hit the guard rail. The little froggy must have been happy.. the people in the car- well, that's another story.

Edited:
Oh woops- this was about killing. Well, I guess that's the closest I've come! =)

There are all these yellow butterflies out now (that means it's almost FALL!
) and I would estimate about 10-15 of them met their fate on my windshield this past weekend as I drove on the interstate

unfortunately yes.. Two cats (at probably 7 years apart), several wilder animals (squirrels, raccoons, possums, etc), and numerous things like bugs.

I ran over a squirrel by accident once. I don't really like squirrels, but I felt really bad about running the poor little guy over

I killed a chicken once by slamming the pen door behind me. Poor chook got its head caught.

I think I ran over a hedgehog once, couldn't tell for sure. My friend insisted I'd missed it, but think she was just trying to make me feel better.
I don't even kill bugs on purpose. But I do now let the cats kill them for me!

No, thank goodness. I once hit a dog, and another time I hit a cat, but both lived.

Actually, come to think of it, I might have killed a chipmunk once, but I'm not sure.

Yeah. A bunny, he was sitting in the middle of a dark road. I was cruising along with my windows down, sunroof back. Before the headlights really showed what was in the road, well I was going too quick to stop... and all I heard was SPLAT outside my window.
I was so horrified I pulled over immediately and man was I a crying MESS!!!

When I was about 19 I drove a little delivery van & ran over a squirrel! I felt so bad, I finished my delivery, came back for his little body & buried it at work. The owners probably thought I was nuts, but oh well.

I've run over a groundhog
I was the first car stopped at a light one morning going to work (during rush hour), and when the light turned green the groundhog and his buddy chose to dash across the road. If I had stopped I would have been rear ended at the least or caused a really bad accident at the worst. When I got to work I was such a mess my boss sent me to sit in back for a while until I calmed down.
