I was short on cash so I picked up 8 cans of Special Kitty from Walmart to get Piper through. Huge mistake! Her stools stink soooo bad and she has diareaha so I am changing her litter every day (costing me more than the difference in food price). I figured a few cans wouldn't hurt her but boy was I wrong!

I'm stocking up her Nutro kitten wet this afternoon so I don't run out again soon and have her just on the Nutro kitten dry now. Poor kitty. I hate that a mistake I make has such a huge impact on her.

Oh, don't beat yourself up over it. Some people feed that to their cats all the time and never notice. She'll get over it, and she won't hold it against you. I promise!!

It may not be the product itself that's the problem. The reason it's important to feed cats (and dogs) the same brand of food consistently is because a sudden change will upset their stomach. That may be the cause of the diarrhea.

Special kitty from Walmart? That doesn't sound like a good food at all, probably filled with by-products and other nasty things. I am not surprised it caused the problem. You could change to something like this slowly and still get all the problems.
