Good morning all! How is everyone?
My owners have decided to take a nap and let me have a little "me" time on the puter this morning! Don't know how long the quiet will last.
Just thought I would stop by and introduce all of us. LOVE the site by the way. My name is Leah and my owners are 5 1/2 years old. My boy is Midnight because he is solid black and my girl is Misty Blue because she is solid grey. While living in Arizona a few years ago I was feeling very lonely for a cat. I grew up with them from the time I was very little so I don't do well without having at least one. Anyway, I went to the local no kill shelter. I sat down in the middle of the kitten room and told all the kittens to decide which one was going home with me. I've never picked out my own cats, I let them pick me. Well, this adorable tiny grey baby came up to me and played for a few minutes and then just curled up in my lap as if to say, "okay, let's go home now." Needless to say after filling out the paperwork and paying some money, we were on our way home. Misty Blue let me know right away that she was not going to be content being an only child! She stopped eating and drinking right away. No matter how much I played with her or held her and loved her she just would not eat or drink. So off I went to the shelter with her in tow. The vet said she was lonely. Back to the kitten room I went. There was a tiny black kitten hiding under a chest of drawers in the room and I just had to hold him. He was the most frightened little thing I had ever seen. After a while I went to put him down and he pitched a fit! He dug every single claw he had into my chest (ouch) and he held on for dear life. So Midnight became owner #2.
Misty is very, very loving and easy going. Midnight on the other hand has major issues. He is a very jealous little man. He hates for me to pay attention to Misty or any human for that matter. He has been like that since day 1.
They both bring me more joy than I could ever explain. I recently bacame disabled and boy do they know it! They follow me every where I go to make sure I will be okay. They both sleep with me. If Midnight forgets where I am he will sit in the hallway and cry until I call him to let him know where I am. They brighten every moment of every day.
Scanner is broken right now so I can't post pics right now but will do so when I get it fixed. This is my first time posting on a board of any kind. I hope this post is not too long. If so, I apologize.
Thank you for all the welcome letters. Again I love this site and hope I can spend lots of time here.
Have a great day,
Leah, Midnight and Misty Blue
P.S. How do I add the smilies? They are showing up as text when I click on one. I am not very computer literate.
