Okay, guys, I have a face-to-face interview with the two teenagers from New Orleans that we rescehduled from yesterday. I interview people every day; no big deal, it's my job, but this really has me feeling nervous and I'm not sure why.
I just feel so much for these kids and their family, you know? I can't imagine what they've been through. Anyway, if you wouldn't mind sending all us some good vibes in the next couple of hours that would be great.

Good luck {{{{}}}}. I'm sure they are just as nervous (if not more!) as you are right now because they probably really really need a job! I hope all goes well for everyone involved!

You're asolutely right. I'm being really self-centered about this! I need to focus on making them feel at ease.

I may be daft, but that comment brought a tear to my eye. It's the sweetest, most unselfish thing I've heard in a long time.

Hope it went well.

Awww, that's so sweet of you to say. Thanks to everybody for the good vibes. TCS came through again.

I spent nearly an hour with them - mom, dad and the two kids, ages
14 and 15. What a wonderful family! They're feeling pretty fortunate under the circumstances and were very willing to share their experiences. They live just a few blocks from the lake in New Orleans and were able to evacuate early the morning of the hurricane, along with their two dogs. They're now staying with the dad's sister in Cincy and the kids are going to school here for the time being. A friend who stayed behind in the city was able to check on their house and said it was flooded but
the roof was intact. They want to return home eventually, but aren't sure when that will be. They're just grateful that they had a place to go.
Before I left, the mom gave me a big and thanked me for being willing to speak with them. Can you believe that? I feel like it's such a privilege to be able to telll their story and really admire their strength in light of all they've been through.

Thanks again for the good vibes! You guys are awesome!
