I just thought it was funny but gross. It has never happened before.

Ripley used to steal watches, rings and earrings and take them upstairs and drop them in the litter pans- LOL

None of our girls have ever done that but I saw Sunday once run up to Sashka while she was in the box, reach in, thwack her on the head and then run off again - when Sashka was too busy to retaliate!! Ohh I laughed and laughed - Sunday's such a quiet girl mostly...

Actually my Singa always want's to bring one of her 'prey' into the litterbox.
i have this toy on a string. After she thinks she has killed it, she will carry it away in her mouth - heading for the litterbox. But since it is attached to a string it will sooner or later 'escape' again. ;o)
One time I followed her together with the rod and string to see what she was planning to do with it. And she headed right for the litter box with it and sat inside.
I think it is the only place where she can actually 'burry' something.

I think it's gross too and I'm glad she has only done it with a toy that she won't be able to take there.)

Sophie has never put any of her toys in the litter box, but I find them almost anywhere else in the house!

Max does that too, except he'll carry the toy into his cat carrier (I keep it in the living room all the time so that they don't get scared when it appears). He wanders off with it in his mouth, with me following closely behind with the string attached!

I've found the random mouse in the litterbox too. It's funny, but definitely gross. Lately I've been finding the litter scoop in the box. I guess Pixie's annoyed that I don't clean the litter box as soon as she goes, so she tries to do it herself!

Glad to see that Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]m not the only one finding treasures in the kittenâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s litterbox! Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]ve retrieved “fishy†(Salâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s absolute favourite toy, a set of little fish to teeth on) from water and food but never from the box! It was also quite well buried, it might have been there for a day or two!

Anyone has a clue why theyâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]d put it in the box? (apparently in the food is the safe place, but cats being neat freaks Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]d be surprised that the box would be a safe place for him!)

Also, any special cleaning? I quickly soaked it in dishsoap (I clean the box right before I leave for work and was already late) Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]m thinking of bathing it in enzyme cleaner (N. Miracle) but any advice is welcome!
