Cute Anecdotal Story

After a summer of work, my neighbour's son is now ready to return to university. I happened to catch a glimpse of him just before his parents brought him to the airport. He is kind of a macho guy - athletic type who exudes testosterone. Howeber, this AM, before he got innto his car, he went looking for their cat - who is a 15 year old kitty who likes to go outdoors but never strays too far from home (and we live in a quiet residential neighbourhood of pet friendly people). He finally found her and picked her up, hugged her for as much time as he could and gave her a big kiss. I saw him shed a tear too!

It was a very heartwarming way to start the day - a boy hugging the cat who had grown up with him!

How sweet!

That is so beautiful. Maxey did the same thing the other night - Sashka was outside and our next door neighbour's cat always holes her up on the window ledge and then sits there and guards the place so she can't get away (horrible creature).

When we pulled into the driveway Maxey jumped out of the car and ran to scare the other cat away, then I could hear him sweetly and gently coaxing Sashka to him - you should have heard him, `Are you ok wittle sweetie? Is alright Daddy's here come on', Sooooo gorgeous - he then walked around the corner cradling her in his arms like a baby.

Very sweet story! It's amazing how animals can just melt the hearts of even the most macho guy.
