Hi AbbysMom!

Oh good - I am about an hour or so from N. Conway. In fact, I my very first kittie was from a ragdoll breeder in Eaton- just around the corner. All the rest of my kitties are rescues. I want so badly to go and see her again, my son visit her farm, but I know there are too many cats that need to be rescued. I can at least go visit her, she's a great person. Ha, of course when I go there, there's no excuse NOT to go visit the outlets!
I also learned how to ski at Attitash (my instructor's name was Joe, he was 80 and I called him my grandpa- I loved him
). If you've never been to Delaney's up there - you HAVE to- it's such a great place to eat. N. Conway is a great place. =)

We were just up there last week and all it did was rain, so I spent A LOT of time at the outlets - started my Christmas shopping already! We've been to Delaney's but our current favorites are the Red Fox Grill and Moat Mountain! We will be headed up there again next month to leaf peep!

Yep... the leaves up here in the next couple weeks are going to be the most amazing thing many have seen. A lot of tourists make their way up here for that very reason!
The Kangamangus (sp) is just breathtaking. I'm sure you've taken that road many times.

I'm not from the area anymore but I wanted to chime in here.
I grew up in White River Junction, Vermont. My dad lives in Portalnd Maine and I spend a summer up in Wolfburrow Acadmey in NH.
I miss it up there but I don't miss the snow.

I used to live in the Worcester area in Mass, but have recently moved to northeastern CT to be closer to work. Also just bought a home and the prices here are cheaper.

Yep, snow stinks big time.. my husband loves it because he's obsessed w/ the wood stove and snowmobiling.

Are you talking about Wolfeboro? I know they sometimes call it Wolfeboro Falls.. didn't know if that's what you meant. If so, my in-law's have a house right on Lake Wentworth (literally walk out the door and take 15 steps you're in the water) - it's absolutely beautiful there! And the bonus- someday it will be ours!!

Ha, I knew a kid that I went to a camp with in Lee, NH that lived in Worcester .. named Billy Hine (unsure of the spelling). Also, I met my real dad when I was 19, so almost 10 yrs ago - and the WHOLE family lives in Uxbridge- so not far from Worcester. If you know Uxbridge at all.. you'll probably know the family I'm talking about.. they're very well known.

Yeah, that's it... Wolfeboro.. in the middle of nowhere.
I think its only an hour or so from the Maine line. We went to the beach and it was only a little more than an hour I believe. It was BEAUTIFUL up there.

Yep - they're about an hour from Maine.. =) It is so nice, and it's the winter it's pretty much ghost town because the town is mainly full of tourists and/or vacation homes.

My husband, who is a contractor, is putting on a 2 car garage and breezeway to his parents house right now. I'm so excited- the room above the garage is going to overlook the lake and be made into a pool room. How exciting. =)

My husband and I are actually thinking of moving to the York, ME area- it's gorgeous there as well. I was there for a wedding in July and oh my gosh - I just fell in love w/ the area! =)

Well, I only lived in the Worcester area from 95-05- basically from college on with a few breaks for less than a year. I grew up in Western CT. I don't know Uxbridge that well, did work w/ a few gals who lived there. My mom and husband hail from Oxford, and I lived in Worcester, Sturbridge and Spencer over the years.

I'm glad I'm meeting a few people from my neck of the woods (somewhat).

I look forward to seeing you around the boards! =)

I don't know where Boothbay is but I may very well end up being your neighbor.. I just love it up there!

Okay- I don't know if you can answer this - but my husband is refusing to move (jokingly) saying the trails for snowmobiling aren't the same... I think they're better. Do you know of anything on this topic?? I don't know why he's complaining- he's selling his sled this weekend anyway.
I shouldn't laugh actually, he's very sad about this but priorities... last year the sledding stunk because there was hardly any snow! I'm sick of making payments when we only get a couple months use out of it, if that!
