Sorry if I am over reacting but this is the first time I have a nest.
My mommy is having kittens. She gave birth to 2 already. The first one was born dead but the second one is doing ok.
She showed no interest at all for her baby so I had to dry him and remove the placenta and keep him worm. Now she lets the baby besides her but she hardly licks him.
Baby is busy trying to find a nipple but mommy has no milk yet.
She gave birth to this baby more than one hour ago and there are still babies inside for I see them moving. She is sleeping now.
Is it normal to give birth to two kittens in lets say 30 min and now have nothing after an hour?
Pls let me know I dont want to be too late calling the vet in case sth is wrong!
Thanks !!

Sorry I can not help you out. Tiara is the first cat I've ever had to be having kittens. I have read that cats can have some kittens then stop having them...they can have them in a 24 hour time frame. Good luck, and keep us posted.

Every cat is different, but I've seen quite a few that don't produce milk for hours after.

Do you have a suppliment and kitten bottles? If not run to the vet or local Wal Mart and get some. It worries me greatly that she hasn't taken any interest in him as it's usually an immediate response to clean the kitten. She may be exhausted (sp?) and needs a dose of oxytocin to deliver the rest. If things haven't gotten better by now then by all means RUN to the vet!
