I'm stunned! LOL!

Brad and I went into a camera store today and while we were there the owner/manager told us that I could be a model, because I had the curves and the body for it. Ok a little weird and strange but nothing TO weird for someone that takes pictures to say I guess, right? So I politely tell him that I'm FAR from a model, but he proceeds to go on saying that he's had peoples pictures taken and published in magazines like something called Gallery. Ok I'm sort of interested (because I've never heard of this magazine..) But I still politely refuse and so he hands me a card telling me if I decide that I'm interested and Brad needs help, to call him because he's had pictures published in this Gallery magazine and they pay so much for each picture and he gives his models so much blah blah blah, and keeps on going about Hustler pays him this much( do you now see a pattern going here?) per picture and some of the magazines pay him in excess of thousands of $$$.
Brad and I thought it was kind of strange since his card read Exotic Expressions and so we came home to find out exactly what this Gallery magazine was. Well it turns out this man was nicely telling me that I could pose naked and take pictures, send them into this smut magazine and get $$$ for them! Now I'm not sure whether to be flattered or insulted!!! LOL!
Oh well, so much for stardom!!!!

I would be flattered if someone wanted to take nude art type pics of me but very insulted if it was meant in a sexual way.

That is too weird, that guy was the owner of the Camera Store?? Yike! He is lucky Brad did not take offense to him saying that to you.

Brad just called him an old pervert and tossed out his card! Pretty sad really, made me think of that movie with Robin Williams, Where is plays a photo developer guy in a store and ends up stalking this family...ohhhhhhhhh what's the name of it??????

That's kinda creepy. If someone came up to me and offered that, I'd tell them where to go and how to get there (in words I can't use on this site!)

I guess Brad said that the guy is just the manager, not the owner. He's thinking of calling the other camera place and telling them about what this guy is doing to his customers. I bet they won't like to hear that!!!!!!!!

That's both creepy and inappropriate. I would report him, as in, send a letter to the owner, and tell them you won't be going into that store any more because he made you feel very uncomfortable.

I wonder how many models he signs up that way?

I know it was rude, disgusting and icky, but I just keep imaginig the look on your face when you found out what kind of rag Gallery is!

Eww, sketchy. I would call and ask to speak to the owner of the store--or if its a chain like Ritz camera or something call the corporate # and complain. Thats creepy AND innapropriate--and I have to wonder if he's soliciting girls under the age of 18 to pose for him. And that's beyond creepy, that's illegal!

I had to laugh when I first read the name of the mag in your post...(when you didn't realize what it was).
He sounds slimey, however. I would report it to the General Manager/Owner of the store.

same sort of thing happened a few years ago,we where at a bike show and some creep came up and was asking the ladies to pose naked on their guys bikes,er well put it this way the creep was escorted out of the show ground after being *educated* by a couple of bikers.

The guy in the camera store sounds like a sleazebag. Yah it was a compliment (saying you are beautiful & have a nice bod, who doesn't want to hear that?)... but way over the line to offer for nudie shots!

My boyfriend would have knocked the guy out for being lewd like that.

Yes this place develops film and sells camera things. I still haven't decided what to do about him. Maybe is He's just a creepy old man like that One Hour Photo movie, but still, that is NOT appropriate behavior when you're at work...

What if this guys ask some 18 year old girl to pose? She may agree and like the attention, but will have to live the rest of her life with those pictures haunting her.

For me this would be a no brainer. I would report the creep. I pray my girls never come across a person like that guy.
