And I don't know what to do, now I'm nervous with her. She is NOT spayed and just came out of heat last week after a possible false pregnancy(according to the vet). Over the last week she has dug up my rug, scratched the door into a major mess, and now attacked my arm. Her behavior is no better tonight, and I rent...I can't have her digging up another room of rug. The vet recomended that I keep her in isolation until I get some assistance. I can't get her back into the carrier to get her out of the house either. OUr first trip was a nightmare (I just got her in April).

Is there something like pepper i can put on the floor to offend her away from the door? I have a 3 year old here at home, and I'm worried.

Please help.

Jean...it truly sounds like she needs to be spayed. Her homones may be causing this behavior. Can you schedule a spay date? Then I would contact the vet to see if they can have someone come over to help you get her into a carrier and to the vet's office.

She may very well still be in heat...they do crazy things when that urge to mate is in full force...especially when they feel being trapped in the house is preventing them from mating. Spaying her is the only long term solution. In the mean time you could try Feli-way to calm her down some. Use the spray version.
This won't stop her behavior completely, but may quell it.

Good luck...and get her spayed as soon as you're able.
