Every winter, my scalp begins to dry and I get alot of dandruff and itching on my scalp. I've bought some Head and Shoulders but dosen't seem to be helping. I've been using it for a week now. Is there anything better?

Thanks

Dandruff is just flaky scalp, right? I kinda get a little in the winter (shhhh!!
), because heating inside places makes your skin dry. I just use my regular shampoo and conditioner (Herbal Essences moisturizing - don't test on or use animal products!
) and really scrub my scalp with my fingers and leave the conditioner in for a while before I rinse. If this doesn't work, I know neutrogena has a T-Gel shampoo for this.

Having dandruff should not be shameful. Most everyone has it. I just hate the constant itching and flaking. Now, if it were something worse like lice(I've had them when I was 7) then it will be a different story.

Oh, if it's itching, huh. Well, you might want to call your doctor. Is dandruff supposed to itch? I've never had it itch, but it might just be the dryness. Good luck!

The simplest thing is once you wash your hair rub a little Johnston's Baby Oil into your scalp. A lot of guys who wear a hard-hat use this, but don't expect them to admit it.
