Mau lover in Ohio

Hello all, I've just found/joined this forum so I thought I'd say hello.

I'm owned by 3 moggies, an old Siamese, and TONS of Egyptian Maus. Yes, I'm a breeder and a shower, but I prefer to brag about my babies rather than scan for people to adopt them.

Can anyone tell me how to get an avatar on here? I went to "edit avatar" and I can't find a way to link, load, or pick a generic one. It just says submit or reset.

Hi! In order to get an avatar, simply go to your Control Panel and click on the "edit avatar" button, and it will bring up your choices for avatars. Then, to choose the one you want just click the white spot next to the one you like and save changes. As a kitten, you have a choice of 5 avatars. The number of choices you get goes up as your post count does, until you reach 700 posts, when you will be able to upload your own personal avatar. If you decide to pay to support TCS, you can upload a personal avatar at anytime.

Mihoshi.....
Welcome to the catsite. We have a mau also, he just turned 9 months old. Quite the character he is, he came into our home in early April and it didn't take him very long to be the dominant cat. I know that all cats are very intelligent but I have never seen anything like Amaudeus. A person can't help but love a mau......they won't have it any other way as I'm sure you know. I'm looking forward to talking with you on the forums. I noticed that you show your cats. We were at the Bowling Green show in early June as the people from Illinois that we got our mau from were there also. We weren't showing just adoring all the beautiful cats in attendance.

Thanks again everyone! You all have such nice banners, do you make them yourselvse? I wish mine came out that well, lol.

Winter Hawk: I think I was at that show! Was is the regional on the 11th and 12th? That's the first time I met Ila Migut, she must be the one you adopted from since she's the only one from IL that I know of (I-tem I think is her cattery name, I can't keep it all straight yet). She's such a nice lady with the most beautiful cats!

I was a few rows ahead of her with the only adult Mau in the place. My boy's about to retire though, he bit me HARD at the last show so I'm getting his TICA Supreme and he's finished.

Your siggy is lovely - I was admiring it so much when you first posted.

I believe most people here use software like Paintshop Pro, Photoshop or Photoshop Elements to turn their photos into siggies with the aid of backgrounds, patterns and images etc.

Mihoshi.....
Yes it was the Regional in Bowling Green, and another Yes on us adopting Amaudeus from Tom and Ila. I have to agree with them having beautiful cats, the two that they had there were brother and sister to Amaudeus. Tom and Ila are two of the nicest people that I have ever met and the socialization of their kittens is unbelievable, they really are very outgoing, well adjusted cats. I, personally believe that waiting at least 12 weeks and even better 16 weeks allows kittens to develop much better socially, but that is just my opinion and with the cats we own it shows very much so in how outgoing and unafraid that they are. I think it makes all the difference in the world.

It's very true. But if the breeders don't handle the kittens no amount of time will help.

Welcome!

Mihoshi, eh? How did I miss this? Our computers are Ryo-ohki and Ken-ohki, and it was probably only by a whisker's breadth that I didn't end up with the Coonlet Boys named that as well! (Fortunately it didn't occur to the husband figure .)

Spots are cool !
